"Ahem! Ruby!" Weiss exclaimed, slamming her hand onto Ruby's desk, making our leader jump. "Did you really swipe my notebook again?"
"Oh. Yeah... I maybe, kinda, possibly forgot to take notes in the last few class sessions." Ruby nervously laughed.
"Aren't you suppose to be the leader of Team RRWBY, at least by name?!" Weiss pointed out. "Have some self-respect!"
Here we go again. Although Weiss has accepted Ruby to be our team leader, there are times where she gets annoyed by Ruby's antics. Of course, our leader does try her best to give it her all during lessons, but sometimes, it just goes over her head. Especially Oobleck's lessons.
"Just hearing that makes me blush all over again." Ruby got out. "Leader. Team RRWBY. Tee hee!"
"That's not my point!"
"They're at it again, huh?" Yang spoke, looking over to them
"Same as always." I sighed.
"I suspect they actually enjoy it, so let's leave them be." Blake suggested while her eyes were kept on her book.
I could somewhat agree with Blake there. Even if Weiss were to be angry at Ruby, she'd soon calm herself afterwards. Ruby's still younger, so she's bound to make some mistakes in class. In a way, Weiss and Ruby are helping each other without even realising it. Weiss learns to be more sociable to those who aren't as fortunate as her while Ruby would understand the concept of being a more responsible leader.
"All right, class! Everyone back to their seats!" Oobleck spoke, suddenly appearing at his messy desk.
And so goes another day at Beacon. Things have gone pretty well now that most of our troubles have been cleared. I say most because there are still some things that haven't changed. Nonetheless, we kept our spirits high as we continue onwards to reach our goal in becoming Huntresses.
There was also news of the Vytal Festival coming up. I can't count the number of times Weiss spoke to me about it. And being the representative of Beacon, she insists that I, along with our team welcome the students of other academies to our kingdom. I have a feeling that that's not the only thing she has in mind.
______
(Next day)Walking down the bustling streets of Vale, we saw the people of the city making preparations for the upcoming festival. I remember two years ago when the Vytal Festival was last held. The biannual event is something that everyone looks forward to, therefore, I'm pretty sure they've upped the ante more than the previous festival. As we continue to walk, I notice Weiss awestruck with big gleaming eyes and a wide opened mouth.
"What's up with you, Weiss?" Yang questioned with her hands behind her head. "You're looking as goofy as Ruby usually does."
"What?!" Ruby comically exclaimed.
Weiss then composed herself before turning to us.
"I'm afraid I can't help myself." She said. "After all, the Vytal Festival is finally upon us."
"Ah, that explains the hustle and bustle." Yang got out.
"Vale, Atlas, Vacuo, and Mistral... The four kingdoms come together for this grand exhibition." Weiss spoke. "One that features parades, dance parties, and a tournament! But above all else, the city comes alive. Even before the event properly begins, people and sights from all the kingdoms join in a massive celebration."
"You're saying I'm usually this annoying...?" Ruby asked.
"Nah. Even worst. She just makes things sound boring." Yang deadpanned.
