Chapter 27: Birds of a feather?

The five of us, Zwei included, safely got down the hole. If the White Fang are here, then we best prepare ourselves. An entrance lead further down into the cavern. We continued before Dr Oobleck halted us and signed us to hide against the wall.

"What is it, doc?" Yang questioned.

"Shh!" He hushed, looking around the corner. "We got company."

"Let me have a look." I said.

The moment I stepped next to Dr Oobleck, I took out an Elthunder Tome and-

Rushed out, managing to keep my footsteps silent and hid behind a crate nearby. Taking a small peek, I was nearly found out by a passing White Fang member carrying a box over his shoulder. Let's see how many there are.

Conjuring the spell, I jumped over the crate and cast it, shocking several White Fang members as a few caught sight of me. A few of them held rifles as they tried to shoot me while I avoided the shots. They don't seem to be threatening enough to where we need to be cautious, but it's best to be safe.

I stood still, waiting for them to actually shoot at me as one fired-

"...Alright." I got out, turning to the others. "There are only grunts as far as I could see."

"See? You didn't even look." Yang said.

"Did you use your Semblance?" Blake questioned.

"Yes. Now then, let's find Ruby." I suggested. "Yang, if you may."

"Aw yeah." She grinned before running out.

We followed her as she punched her way through the many numbers of White Fang members. I nodded to Weiss as she readied Myrtenaster and used the Dust in the caliber to create a large Glyph in the sky. I cast Elthunder towards it, mixing with the Dust fused Glyph as it began to rain down bolts of lightning. The White Fang members ran in panic while some tried to shoot at us.

Zwei suddenly perked up and rushed past Yang. He must've sniffed out where Ruby is. The five of us ran after the Corgi as he went around the corner and to the railway.

Just up ahead, we saw Torchwick with several other White Fang members near a train when Ruby jumped over him and pushed his bowler hat down, covering his eyes before running to us.

"Somebody kill her!" Torchwick exclaimed, pointing his cane at Ruby.

Ruby was able to avoid several shots from the White Fang members and Torchwick. Four members suddenly appear and aimed at Ruby before Yang blasted them away with a shot from her Ember Celica.

"Ruby!" Yang exclaimed as Ruby dashed to her sister and hugged her.

"Are you okay?" Weiss asked concerningly.

"I'm fine! I'm fine!" Ruby quickly spoke. "But listen. Torchwick's got all sorts of weapons and robots down there.

"What?" Blake got out, unsheathing her Gambal Shroud.

"Androids, mechs, they're all loaded up on the train cars." She explained, retrieving back Crescent Rose from Wiess.

"Ah, that's ridiculous! These tunnels are sealed." Dr Oobleck stated. "The tracks lead to a dead end."

An intercom suddenly turned on as the feedback echoed through the cavern.

"Get to your places, we are leaving now!" The voice from the intercom ordered.

A train horn sounded as said train is about to leave into the tunnel carrying several cargoes.

"Well, it sounds like they're going somewhere!" Yang pointed out.
