Wren Looked down at her feet. or, rather, the ground.
"This is so wired," She whispered to Marukya in Dragon.
Marukya paused for a moment, then hissed, "I'm rolling my eyes. we do it as DRAGONETS"
"You mean raid fortresses meant to kill your favorite species to save your best friend and possibly kill whoever's in charge?" Wren shot back
"...no," Maracuya responded slowly.
"Well, I have experience."
Marukya snorted in disbelief.
A few moments passed when Marukya said, "look, I don't like making enemies, but I think both of us are going to need to drop our sass for this to work."
Wren groaned. She certainly wasn't used to working with people like her- one Wren was enough. "Fine," she said after a few moments.
>>~~~<<
Wren was surprised at how few Guards there were in the tunnels. there were a few villagers who she had t Dodge, but only one or two guards looking half-asleep. Either that's a good sign or a bad sign, Wren thought. Let's just plan for the worst, hope for the best. Soon they reached a metal door with the words,
"Do not enter without permission
by the law of the Indestructible Lord himself"
"This looks promising," Wren muttered to herself, although Marukya responded,
"What does it say?" Maracuya said sharply
"'Do not enter without my, um," Wren paused and tried to find the right word in Dragon. "acceptance, by the rules of the indestructible queen himself." a moment passed until She felt the air go past her, the hallway rippling, then a loud CLANG on the door followed by a soft "ow"
Wren paused and stared at the "ow".
"I assume you intended to knock the door down?" she asked Maracuya, who appeared in front of her, a few white scales rippling through her.
"it USUALLY works!" she replied defensively.
"Allow ME," Wren said, pulling out her sword, overbalancing, and falling on Maracuya.
"riiiiiiight. good job," Maracuya remarked
"Give me a moment!!" Wren said, grabbed the sword again, thrust it into a gap, and plied the door open. That is, after a few moments and a dragon helping her out.
IGNORE THE PHYSICS THIS IS FICTION lol
Wren tumbled into the room and found, little to her surprise, a Heck ton of guards. Of course, she was SMART and kept her INVISIBILITY ON, unlike SOME dragons who ruined her sneak attack plan. This dragon was, of course, the only thing they saw. but that was enough. about 60 fearful eyes surrounded in a porcupine costume stared at Maracuya.
"oopsIforgotabouttheguards," she muttered.
"YEAH you did," Wren muttered to her, grabbing the air around her back until she found her sword.
Wren lunged at one of the guards knocking his helmet off. one after another, dodging their pitiful misses when they tried to attack her in return until she found who she was looking for. there was one particularly short "guard" with gold lining his armor. Wren grabbed his helmet, threw it at a guard, and yanked undauntable off his feet
and YOU were wondering where he went c( :
"Come ON you little traitor!" she hissed at him in Human, hen wrapped the chain around him before he could protest. "I need to interrogate you about where your dad is and then face him nobly! come ON!" squeezed through a tight gap in the confused guards praying to the moons above that he didn't bump into one.
"Noooooo he's going to kill me if I do that!" Undauntable complained when they got out of the cave.
"He'll kill ME if you DON'T," were said. "so COME ON."
Undauntable paused as if he was thinking through what she had just said.
Wren graned and hoisted a unessasarily and stubborn and heavy undauntable on to Maracuya's back, and ran back to Sky.
