Chapter 16 ~~ What is it with this book and dreams? (Wren)

[STILL UNDER EDETING] 

So, as it turns out, Rainforest Dragons are not the best flyers when it comes to open air. Wren REALLy wished that wasn't the case. Rainforest Dragon she assumed, had experience flying through trees twirling their wings in and launching themselves from one tree branch to another.

That was not the case in open air though. Fortunately, Maracuya had agreed to camouflage herself for the entire time, so that was one benefit of her flying them.

when thy reached a ledge hidden by trees, and went to rest for the night.

Wren was falling. she landed with a thump n ground, although she couldn't see it. it was like she was in a wood. she wandered around for a t, when she found Leaf, a blue sapphire pressed to his forehead, and muttering the words "Wren, Wren, COME ON Wren."

"Um. Hi, Leaf," she said, trying to hide back laughter.

Leaf jumped in surprise, then whirled to face Wren. "YES!" he Shouted. "YES! IT WORKED!"

Wren rubbed her head. why am I having dreams about happy people? when both Sky d Lef are gone?

Leaf looked at her in surprise. then he opened his mouth and said,"Wait, Sky is gone?"

Wren looked at him in surprise

"yeah...you said that out loud." Lea said, grinning grimly

"huh. well. YES dream Leaf. YOU and SKY are GONE." Wren said shooting Leaf a Glare.

"Moons above," Leaf muttered. "How are you still alive? HOW has Dragon not eaten you, Without all your protection?"

"First of all, Leaf, get outta my dream, I know you're dead in real life and this dream is going to just make me cry, so shoo, and secondly, we had one Night Dragons , A Rainforest Dragon, and A hybrid to help us. So THERE. Perfectly protected."

"wait a hybrid? she didn' by any chance say her name was Desert Moon, Did she?" Lea asked. h and I'm not a dream so yeah. and I'm alive."

"YES!" Wren said." Her name was Desert Moon and she was a Desert dragon- Night Dragon hybrid!" she said amot jumping up, and completely ignoring what Leaf had said. She didn't want to get her hopes up on a dream. Leaf as DEAD, and nothing would change that.

"Listen! Wren!" Leaf said desperately. "Wren! WREN! I'm alive! really am! I was kept as a pet! By that Ice Dragon! I adjust using a dreamvisitor! like the one Ivy had? remember? WREN!"

Wren had been ignoring him, her back turned. She finally turned to face him and saw that he, along with herself was crying. "How...?" she croaked out to him. "How... How are you alive? And if you're a dream, h could you do this to me?"

Leaf opened his mouth to respond, but before he could Wren woke up.

She opened her eyes and found Ivy staring over her, the damp smell of the cave and the drip drip. from the salties.

"I wanted you to know that Leaf viiitd me." Ivy said softly. "I would have told you earlier, but you were slee, but then I heard you crying. so I assumed you were awake?"

"I- Yes." Wren sniffed, then looked up to meet Ivy's eye. "do you miss him?"

"What-who? oh. Leaf" Iv looked down, unwilling to meet Wren's

When Ivy looked up again she saw that she was also crying.

"yes." She choked out. yes I do very much so." she pulled her knees up to her chest and buried her face in her hands, slumping against the cold stone wall. Wren heard quiet sobbing from Ivy.

"me too," Wren whispered. she slumped against the wall and looked at the staligites above her."Very much so" she muttered under her breath.

"I promis. Leaf" She whispered

Ivy turned her tear streaked face towards Wren.

"I promise leaf" Wren repeated, grabbing Ivy's hand. "I promise we'll get you back. same with you sky."

aaah I had sad music in the background and honestly I cried reading this chapter.
