Chapter 4~~ an Epic Love Triangle Begins (Leaf)

Leaf panicked. He kicked at the black tanlons around him. He bit and kicked and lashed out as hard as he could but nothing seemed to hurt the Night Dragon. It was determined to keep it in one place. 

Leaf sighed, and slumped down against the paw of the dragon, thinking. None of this would have happened, if I had JUST used the bathroom in a different spot, I could still be alive 3 days from now.  He thought, then reluctantly chuckled to himself. Who knew, peeing in the right spot could be a life or death choice.

The dragon said in a small growl, "rooiw grrow rrrrow hissss."

It's all right. I'm not going to hurt you.

Then he remembered another lesson Wren had taught him and Ivy. She called it "Dragon Survival." She had taught them the words "going," "hurt," "eat," and "safe," and face contexts to determine whether or not the dragon was going to eat you. Leaf had tried multiple times to see the dragon's face, but it had turned its head towards the entrance of the cave. So, Leaf used his amazing deduction skills to determine, that he was most certainly going to be eaten alive. 

Then he followed the night dragon's gaze across the room to the opening of the cave. 

"Gra GRRR row hiss HISSSSssss grrrrOW, groooowl grrow." Hissed Icicle at the Night Dragon

You have ten seconds to give me back my scavenger before I slice your face off. 

Leaf looked hopefully at Icicle in a way that he hoped, said "HELP MEEEEEEEE !!" but got no response whatsoever from the cold icewing. Instead, Icicle walked over and started sneering things into the Nightwing's face. (Which Leaf had mentally named Night, and assumed was a girl.) Night looked afraid, her face growing more fearful with everything Icicle said, but stubbornly held her clutch on Leaf.  Dang, she must be hungry, leaf thought. After a few more growls, she even wrapped her wings around Leaf, as if to tell Icicle that she wasn't going to surrender Leaf. A moment later, Grbli appeared beside Icicle and started to join in in the growl session.

Leaf groaned. He had literally no idea what was going on. Are they going to eat him? Freeze him? Stab him? Continue to squish him with their talons? Bore him to death with their endless arguing? Leaf was looking fearfully at Night when he caught a glance of pink scales. 

Oooh, I thought,  a Rainforest Dragon!  I heard they're vegetarian dragons, maybe it'll convince them not  to eat me?   Who he saw next made his heart jump. THE GOLDEN DRAGON !! leaf thought.

"HEEEEYY! GOLDEN DRAGON! It's ME! REMEMBER WHEN YOU DIDN'T EAT ME? YEAH! CAN YOU DO THAT AGAIN?" 

The golden dragon tilted his head at him, then purred something to the other dragons. To his surprise, the pink rainforest dragon ran over to a pile of fruit, brought back a blueberry, and presented it to Leaf. He looked suspiciously at the Dragon but still reached up to take the blueberry. 

Welp. I'm stuck. and I need ideas. the only one I have is skipping to after Leaf is out f JMA, but I don't know ... wait. I re read and realized that was a terrible ending to my chaepter. uh. lets just move on!
