Leaf cautiously stepped forward "Hello? Can you understand me?" he asked.
"AAG!" Desert Moon Jumped to her feet "A talking scavenger!"
her surprise, to Leaf's surprise, suddenly turned into realization.
"Daad, did you put an area spell on this?" she asked, holding up her pink Heart pendant.
Stone's unreadable expression creaked up unto a small smile. "Just testing a few things." the old fossil said.
Desert Moon laughed "I figured."
She leaned down to peer closer to Leaf. "it's Wired... You said this thing was enchanted to understand other languages, not make things Be able to SPEAK."
"Humans have a language too!" Leaf said defensively.
"Suuuuuuure." Desert Moon said.
"We DO! HONESTLY! were INTELLIGENT CREATURES!"
He was about to continue his yelling when a copper tornado zoomed by
it looked back in the room. "ooh cool a scavenger!"
Leaf noticed that Desert Moon had somehow disappeared.
the copper dragon kept talking. "Y'know, I've foughten many of those before, in the arena. there pretty boring. their only weapons are swords, which melt before they pierce my scales, so I've only fought them once, because the queen-- I mean, SCARLET, said it was boring. this one down there looks familiar... the fur I mean. ooh! it musta been one of the ones from Scarlet's palace! I mean, Ruby's now, but she is a terrible queen! anyways, HAve you seen a cute, kinda fat brown dragon that is obsessed with food? oh wait, he might not want to see me. he's probably sleeping, and I don't know how to wake him up without burning him oh, well! bye!":"
and then that dragon was gone. what a strange dragon Leaf thought
"wow." said Desert Moon, suddenly materializing from the shadows. "does she come by often?
Stone sighed. "yup. she keeps talking about this mudwing. I think its Sunny's friend--"
"wait wait wait, dad, who is Sunny? you talk as if you know her well,"
"Well, yes, she's... shes a golden dragon, um, a little younger than you, uh and..."
"And what?"
"Nothing"
"Oookay then"
"WHERE IS HE???" a dragon suddenly roared from the hallways "YOU ATE HIM, DIDN'T YOU QIBLI!!!!"
"Welp. I gotta go before he murders someone". Leaf said suddenly standing up.
He ran down the hallway towards the cave, a few feet outside the cave Icicle's Yells suddenly turned into growls and hisses. guess I'm out of range. He thought.
