Bryn Reid (four weeks later)
"Bryn!?" Spencer yells.
"Over here!" I call back, stirring a bunch of sugar in the coffee mug.
"There you are." He pants, glancing at the cup in my hands.
"Here," I hand him it with a small smile on my face, but it fades as I see the look on his face.
"We need to get somewhere safe, let's go." He grabs onto my arm, dragging me up the steps and into Aaron's office where all of the others are huddled.
"What's happening?" I question frantically.
"Long story short, there's an unsub in the building." Dave says and I roll my eyes, plopping under the desk.
"Never would have guessed." I mutter and Spencer shushes me.
"Okay, we're going out there." Aaron says as he stands up, slipping his gun out of its holster.
"I'm staying here with Bryn." Spencer objects and Aaron hesitated before nodding. He goes over a plan with everyone, but I'm not paying any attention to them, just to the heavy footsteps outside.
"Sh, sh, sh." I shush them all, pointing to my ear and then to the wall where the steps are coming from.
All of them grab their guns, aiming them towards the door and I'm tempted to make finger guns, but I realize it's definitely not the time for that.
The door opens after a few failed attempts, a man with guns in both hands coming in.
"Hey, why don't you put those guns down so we can talk this out, yeah?" JJ suggests.
"We know you don't want to do this, Brad. Just because your father did this exact same thing, doesn't mean you have to. Put the guns down." Emily says.
"Brad, how would your mother react to this? Remember how she reacted to your father? Who's to say she won't react the same-if not worse?" Spencer stands, holding up his hands, just his pointer and thumb holding onto his gun.
"What if she sees this? That won't be good for either of you." It all happens so fast. Spencer falls to the ground as a bang erupts in the room. Spencer manages to fire a shot, hitting the man in the head.
"Spencer!" I shout, scrambling over to him as blood pools on his dress shirt. I yank off my sweater, scrunching it up and applying pressure to the gushing wound.
"JJ, get her out of here." He demands quietly, more blood gushing out as his eyes fight to stay open.
"I'm not leaving you." I whisper, tears falling down my cheeks and landing on his shoulder.
"Honey, please. I-I love you." His eyes roll to the back of his head and I feel myself stop breathing.
"No, no. Spencer, please." I sob, brushing his hair away from his forehead. When he doesn't flinch, I pull him into my lap, gathering him in my arms. "Please, please wake up. For me, for Atlas, for the baby, please."
A hand is placed on my shoulder and I shrug it off, cradling Spencer's unconscious body in my arms.
"Bryn, let the paramedics do their job. He won't make it if you don't." JJ says, lightly pulling me away from my husband. She pulls me so my back is against her chest on the floor, holding me around the waist.
My breathing is fast and my bloody hands shake tremendously. Spencer's blood is on my hands.
"Hey, listen to me, Bryn. This is not good for you and your baby. Spence is going to be just fine. He always pulls through." JJ pulls me into a hug.
