Bryn Reid (8 months later)

"Hey, sweetheart?" Spencer says as he lays down beside me on the bed.

"Yeah?" I answer, throwing my leg over his hips.

"Can we have another baby?" He asks, placing his hand on my thigh and rubbing it softly with his thumb.

"Absolutely!" I grin.

"Really?" He grins and I nod before he cups my cheek and lifts my head, pressing light kisses to my neck.

"Babe," I giggle, pulling his head away. "Not this second. We should go get a hotel or something and make it romantic where there isn't a baby crying in the background in the middle of everything."

He lets out a groan, throwing his head back.

"Cant I get someone to watch them?" He whines and I laugh, pressing my lips to his soft mouth.

"I guess." I roll my eyes playfully and he pulls me into him and I giggle.

"Spence, did we even think this through? We have a 10 month old." I say as I stare at the test on the bathroom counter.

"You're not even that fertile, honey, you may not even be pregnant." He reassures and I nod.

I lean my head on the wall just as the timer on my phone goes off. We both stand from the edge of the tub and he grabs the test in his hands, taking a deep breath before flipping it over on the counter.

We both observe it, seeing one line.

"Oh," I breathe out.

"Well, we can try again in a few days, okay? That time it gives us more time to think it through as well." Spencer suggests and I nod.

"Yeah, yeah." I sigh sadly. "Is bad that I wasn't even sure about having this baby right now, but I'm sad that I'm not pregnant?"

"No, princess. It's normal." He reassures, pulling me into a soft hug.

I place my head on his shoulder as he wraps his arms around my waist. He presses a kiss to my shoulder and places his head on mine.

Spencer Reid

"H-Hotch," I whisper into the phone, holding Atlas to me and a sleeping Harlow to my chest as my phone is between my shoulder and ear.

"Reid, what's wrong?" Hotch asks and I take a shaky breath.

"Bryn is gone." I whisper quietly, not wanting Atlas to hear me. "We went to the store to pick up some medicine for her because she wasn't feeling good, so she stayed home and when I went in there to check on her, the room was wrecked."

"Bring the kids here. I'll call the team. You search the house and make sure no one is there." He says determined before hanging up.

"Atlas, stay by my side, okay? I need you to take Harley for me, and don't get scared, just follow me." He nods as I hand him Harlow, setting the grocery bag on the floor beside him.

I grab onto his shirt, making sure he's next to me as we walk into the bedroom. I unlock my safe and grab out my loaded gun, aiming it ahead of me at all times.

I keep my hand on Atlas as we search the house together, the occasion gurgles from Harlow. When I deam the house clear, I switch on the safety and put it on a high shelf so the kids can't reach it and let go of Atlas.

"What happened, Dad?" Atlas questions, adjusting Harley in his hands.

"We're gonna go spend the night at work, okay? I'm gonna get the clear story and then tell you. Does that work?" I ask softly and he nods. "Good. Go pack a bag, make sure you pack toys and books and stuff, we're probably gonna be gone for a while. I'm gonna go pack a bag for Harley."
