Doing it again lol because I like writing it

Spencer Reid

"What do you mean?" I question, standing up from my chair.

"I just got a call that Atlas hit his head really hard. I don't know what happened, but I'm connecting you to the car now 'cause I'm at a red light."

I was doing my paperwork when Bryn called me, saying that she's picking up Atlas because he's in the nurse's office after falling straight on his head. Thankfully, she was already out of the house and a babysitter was already watching Harlow, so he agreed to just stay longer at his house.

"Do I need to come home? Do you know how bad it is?"

"I don't know anything. Depending on how bad it is, I might take him to the hospital just for reassurance." She says.

"Okay, well, uh can you call me when you figure it out? I want to go, but I don't know if I'm gonna be able to." I say, glancing up at Hotch's office.

"Yeah, I'm pulling in now. If anything I'll send you a text to tell you if you need to come or not." She says.

"Okay, well go get him." I say, rubbing my face. "Don't forget to text, okay?"

"Okay, love you." She says before hanging up.

I run a frustrated hand through my hair as I grab my empty cup, walking over to the coffee area.

"What's wrong, Reid?" Prentiss asks, rubbing my shoulder.

"Bryn is going to pick up Atlas from school for a head injury." I say, placing my hands over my face. "I don't know, Em. I'm just worried. The only injury he's ever had was some decent scrapes on his knees and a fractured arm, which I can deal with-just a head injury has so many things that can happen and I don't even know if he's okay and if I can get out for just him hitting his head at school."

"Hey, Bryn is gonna be with him if you can't. He's probably just fine, Reid. He was probably just playing around and then bonked his head." She says and I nod.

"I know. I just hate knowing every possible risk to just a minor bonk." I sigh worriedly.

My phone rings and I immediately answer it, not paying any attention as Emily walks away.

"I'm taking him to the hospital." Is all she says before I'm running up to Hotch.

"I'm leaving. Do you think you can pick me up on the way? I want to stay with you guys." I say as I run up the few stairs.

"Yeah. I'm only like 5-10 minutes away, so hurry up." She says and I say a quick bye before I open the door, not bothering with knocking.

"Hotch, I need to leave." I say, tucking my phone in my pocket.

"For what?" He questions, looking up from his papers.

"Bryn's picking me up in 5-10 to bring Atlas to the hospital." I say and he nods.

"Yeah. Go, go pack your stuff." He waves me out.

"Thank you, so much. I could hug you." I say before running down the steps and gathering my stuff.

"Where you going in such a hurry, pretty boy?" Morgan asks.

"To the hospital. Atlas had an accident at school." I explain and he nods.

"Tell him I said he can have the good old Derek snuggles if he needs 'em." He says and I nod, a small laugh escaping me.

"I will. He'll probably take you up on that offer." I say as I put my bag on my shoulder.
