Bryn Reid (kind of more of a fluffy chapter with random things in it)
"19 weeks today." I sigh softly, one hand on my sore back and the other rubbing my bigger belly.
"21 more weeks." Spencer smiles gently, placing his hands on both sides of the bump.
"I don't know about that. It's already bigger than average, cutting off like three weeks. I say he's gonna come around 35 weeks." I disagree, placing my hands over his.
"We all have our opinions." He mocks me from a while ago in the hospital and I roll my eyes playfully.
"That one hurt a little bit." I say, feigning hurt.
"I'm so sorry, princess." He pouts sarcastically and I laugh.
"Hey, can we talk about names and start the nursery?" I question and he lets out a soft breath, his hands moving to my hips.
"Actually, I want to talk to you about something." He says lightly.
"Okay. What about?" I question, my arms wrapping loosely around his neck, twirling the hair there around my fingers.
"I want to get a house." He says. "Our family is expanding, and we only have one more room which means if someone were to stay over they would have to sleep on the small couch in the living room or on the floor."
"Do we have the money for-"
"Hey, I have that under control. We have enough to buy a new house and decorate it." He touches my face with his hands softly.
"Okay. We need to ask Atlas, though. We can't just spring it up on him." I nod hesitantly.
"Agreed. Come on." He grabs onto my hand, pulling me out of our room and into the living room where Atlas is sitting watching cartoons, snacking on some chips.
"Hey, buddy. We have a question for you, okay?" I say as we both sit next to him. He sets down the bowl of chips, turning towards us.
"We want to move into an actual house. It'll give us more room and you and your baby sibling can run around and have more room to play when they come. And we can re-do your room." Spencer nudges his arm a little and he smiles.
"Okay. Can we do a big boy room instead of a dinosaur room?" He asks, puffing his chest out slightly.
"Of course we can. Anything you want." I assure softly.
"Yay!" He squeals, his arms flying up.
"Okay, so I say that he's on board." I say as I sit back down on the bed.
"Just a little." Spencer laughs beautifully, his eyes crinkling at the edges.
"Okay, so what's the requirements?" I ask, pulling out a small notebook, flipping to an empty page and writing home requirements at the top.
"Uh, 4-5 room, open kitchen to living room, at least 3 bathroom, Ooh! Kitchen island and book nook." He grins, laying next to me.
"Okay," I nod, quickly scribbling down everything he said.
"I think that's really it. I mean it leaves us room for if we want to have two more kids, we can watch said kids while making dinner, bathrooms are a given, and book nook and island a want from me." He shrugs sheepishly and I laugh, falling back and laying on my side.
"Well, I like all of those things. Just imagine us sitting on the book nook, watching the kids eat breakfast as were reading a book together. That's the life right there." I sigh dreamily, throwing my arm over his hips and setting my head on his chest.
