Bryn Reid (I just wanna say that I'm imagining the stabbing and the surgery like an inch or two above the belly button)

"Dad is finally here! Oh my goodness, this is the first ultrasound I've seen you at." Ryel laughs, pulling Spencer into a hug.

"I know, I've got a week off to stay at home with Bryn while she heals and help her with the kids." He answers awkwardly, still not used to her physical affection.

"Heal? From what?" She asks as they pull away, slipping on a pair of gloves.

"I was abducted a few days ago and I was stabbed in the stomach. Thankfully, the knife missed my uterus, so the baby is fine." I answer, lifting my shirt up as she squirts some gel on my stomach.

"Holy crap. I swear, this family has so much going on at all times." Her mouth falls open as she runs the wand.

"Eh, we're all used to it. Even Harlow-she just goes with the flow. It's kind of funny actually. Atlas was such a hard baby to take care of and he's wonderful now, whereas Harlow is really easy to take care of. I'm terrified for when she grows up." Spence says, a small chuckle leaving his lips as he sits beside me, grabbing ahold of my hand.

"Just imagine this one." Ryel laughs slightly before pointing to the screen, a small blob of pixels showing up.

"That's our baby." Spencer breathes, squeezing my hand.

"Yep." I smile as he leans down to press a kiss against my lips quickly. "Wait, I haven't been to medical school in a bit, but that doesn't look right."

"That my dear, is because you are not having one baby. See that blob right next to that one?" We both nod. "That is another baby. You're having twins."

"Holy crap. How am I supposed to push out two babies?" They laugh.

"Okay, so based off of the size of your babies, I'm guessing you're around 14 weeks, which is actually really far along without anyone noticing, but I've seen worse." She hands me a towel and I wipe off my belly.

"I thought i would be 8 weeks, 9 max. I feel like one of us should've noticed." I say, my mouth falling open.

"Well, you said with Harlow that you have a very irregular period, so you wouldn't know. The sickness you had a few days ago was probably the first symptom you showed." Ryel explains with a small shrug as she hands us pictures of our babies.

"Thank you, so much." I grin, staring down at the cute babies in pixels.

"Of course. Make sure that you text me if anything feels wrong, okay?" She says and I nod, slipping my shirt back down after realizing I hadn't.

"Okay, go spend time with your kids." She waves us off and we both laugh, walking out of the room hand and hand- well, more like he's helping me walk as my incision is still healing.

"Ugh. I feel gross." I whine, throwing my head back and he laughs.

I got discharged just before the appointment, so I never got the chance to shower, but now we're going home. Finally.

"Well, we're going home. You can take a nice warm shower. With a waterproof bandage." He grins cheekily and I laugh, Spencer opening my door for me and helping me into the car.

"Thank you." I say and he kisses my head, buckling my seat belt. "You know I can do that, right?"

"Actually, you could rip your stitches because as much as you don't think about it, you use your stomach muscles for everything. Even something as reach your hand up could rip your stitches." He informs and I nod, a small sound of understanding falling past my lips.
