I smile, moving over to curl into Spencer's side. He kisses my head, glancing at the babies on the floor, having the times of their lives.
Atlas walks into the living room and plops down next to them, holding out the small unicorn Penelope gave him to Emerson, letting her play with it. He does the same with a small stuffed dinosaur with Jaxon.
"Oh, they need to eat then go down for bed, too." I crawl off of Spence, picking up the twins. I rest them both on my chest, heading back to the nursery. Atlas decided to put Harlow down for bed as he wanted to tuck her in and read her a bedtime story.
I hear footsteps behind me and I turn to see Spencer trotting along. He grins, taking Jaxon from my arms.
I shake my head with a small laugh, sitting down in the chair in the nursery. Spence sits on the arm of the chair, waiting for me to help Emerson start feeding before handing me Jaxon. I do the same with him, letting them eat.
"Hey, Spence?" I mumble, looking up at him. He hums, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. "Can we renew our vows?"
"Of course we can. When and where would you like to do it?" He asks.
"I don't know, but I really want to do it. Maybe the team can come to it." I reply, looking down to see the two twins trying not to fall asleep, their heads bobbing on my chest.
Spencer picks up Jaxon, setting him against his chest and bouncing slightly. I fix my shirt before setting Emerson back on my chest, rocking the chair.
After a few minutes, both of the babies are asleep. I stand, placing Em in her crib gently. Spence does the same with Jaxon before wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Do you ever think back to when we first met?" He murmurs. "Y'know, just the two of us. I never thought that we would be where we are now with four kids together."
"It's crazy." I chuckle, leaning back into his chest. "I wouldn't change anything, though."
"I wouldn't either." He sighs, kissing my cheek. "Come on. Let's go to sleep."
We walk out to the living room hand-in-hand. "Atlas, it's time for bed, okay?" I ruffle his hair and he nods.
"You can't stay up all night reading again." Spence says.
"Okay, I promise." He smiles up at us. "Love you, kiddo." Spence says, kissing his head.
"Love you, guys." Atlas grins. I kiss his head before Spence pulls me back into our bedroom.
The two of us are pretty much already in our pajamas, me being dressed a pair of black shorts and a plain light gray shirt and Spence in a pair of old sweatpants and a white t-shirt with a purple cardigan over it.
Spence slips off his cardigan and then his shirt, folding them and setting them on top of the dresser to wear later. I slip under the covers, lifting them for Spencer.
"Thank you, sweetheart." He smiles lazily, kissing me softly. I cuddle into his chest, inhaling his scent of wood and books.
"Love you, Spence." I mutter, my eyes drooping shut.
"Love you, Bryn."

"Spence," I mumble, turning my head to look at him, only to find that he's still asleep. I turn, admiring him.
His face is fully relaxed, letting all of the stress lines fall smooth.
Sometimes I wonder if his job is too much for him. I know he loves helping people, but I also know how hard it can be to try to save everyone. My job is to nurse someone back to health, and when I lose someone, it hurts like hell.
