Blue Exorcist: Memories of the Hunted

Chapter One: A New Morning

The morning sky was bright blue with birds chirping and chattering, as a girl got up from bed. She looked out her side window of her apartment to see the streets being crowded with people, and cars honking away at the ones in front of them. She then walked into her bathroom, and got ready for her new school year, as a transfer student from Raven Hopes Academy. She walked out and grabbed her bag, lunch box, and a bagel, then turned the knob on the door to head outside.

She walked down the street eating part of her bagel when a small white Scottish terrier walked up to her. She kneeled down and petted the small dog and noticed his pink scarf around his neck. The dog smiled as she picked him up. "Are you lost little doggy?" She asked handing the dog a piece of her bagel. The dog sniffed the bagel piece and then ate it, while looking up at her. A young boy, about fifteen years old was walking at the on the left side of the sidewalk, that the girl was on.

The guy had on a True cross academy uniform with his coat unbuttoned and undershirt not tucked in. He had blue eyes and raven black hair that was messy, and looked un-kept. The boy looked at her and the dog with a surprised face, "Is this your dog?" she asked him.

"No, sorry he's my friends!" the boy said taking the dog from her.

"It's alright" she said smiling. "My name is Rin. I go to school over there." He said pointing as the Scottish terrier in his arms was wiggling.

"My name is Annahime. It's nice to meet you." she said smiling as the terrier was wagging his tail. "Uh, have you met my friend's dog before?"

Rin asked Annahime, but she shook her head. "No, I haven't," She looked at her watch and realized the time "oh! I have to go see you later!" she said running off. "Oh, okay bye." Rin said. He looked at the dog and put him down.

"What the heck were you doing Mephisto!? That girl didn't know you-" Mephisto counted down in German from three to one then turned back into his normal human-like form.

"... Mephisto? " Rin said looking at him.

Mephisto looked around the corner, and turned around to facing Rin like his usual poppy self, "No, not at all!" he exclaimed walking off.

Rin walked into the cram school classroom as Ryuji Suguro, Konekomaru Miwa, and Renzo Shima ran up. Suguro had dark brown hair with a blond steak in the middle of it, as it was jelled and spiked back. He was a tan tall boy about Rin's age. Konekomaru had a little to no hair on his head with glasses and a short figure, but was very smart. Shima had pale strawberry ginger hair with it being spiked up, and also was lean and a bit shorter than Suguro. "What's going on guys? You look shocked?" "You didn't get the message?" Suguro said looking at Rin. Rin shock his head then checked his phone. "Wait there's been a WHAT!?" he said looking up from his phone.
