Chapter 26:

(3rd Person POV)

Skylar puts his key into the door, and unlocked it. He opened it and closed the door behind him. He dropped his keys on the kitchen counter and, and walked into the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator, and grabbed a carton of milk. He opened it and gulped a large amount of it down. He shut the refrigerator and dropped the milk carton. "Sammy!" He raced to an unconscious Sammy with blood all over her wrists and the floor's side and knelt next to her. "Lynol, help! Call an ambulance!"

Lynol raced out of his room door to look at the scene. "Shit!" He grabbed the house phone and dialed for an ambulance.

Skylar tried to wake Sammy up by shaking her. She wouldn't budge. He checked for a pulse, and he felt one. "Oh thank God!" A tear fell down his eyes.

"They're 45 minutes away." Lynol stuttered.

"Ok. Good." He rested his head on Sammy's belly.

Lynol shook his head. "No...it's not good enough. We have to go now. Get the car. I'll carry her."

Skylar hesitated for a second, and then stood up and grabbed his keys and went out the door. Lynol stared at Sammy's unconscious bloodied body. He clenched his jaw, and slowly made his way towards her. He grabbed her middle back and the back of her knees, and led her towards the door.

Dr. Shawn Patrick stared at Violet. Violet was chewing on a piece of gum. His eyes widened as he examined her closely. "Tell me about this boyfriend you had...Tony Cossack? I believe."

"What about him?" She chewed loudly.

"You love him?"

"Loved?" She stared into his eyes, wanting to move them but she know she couldn't because he wouldn't allow her.

"Why'd you love him?"

"I don't know. Maybe...because he was my type? The bad boy look...He was no doubt fuckin drop dead gorgeous. He had a lip piercing. He...was in a band. He could sing and play an instrument, and that's a real deal breaker for girls, I guess." She blew a bubble.

"Hmm... Interesting."
