Chapter 14:
(3rd Person's POV)
Cleo took a quick shower before putting on her outfit for school today. She walked over to her Mom's room and she wasn't there. So, she went to the living room and her Mom was sitting on the couch with her legs up on the chair and her face down.
"What else is new?" Cleo shook her head. She helped turn her mother over, gently as possible. When her Mom was sitting comfortable as ever on the chair, she pecked her forehead. "Take care Mom. See you later." She gave her a small smile before going out the front door. She got into her Mercedes Benz and drove away.
Reaching school, she parked in the same spot she usually did and grabbed her things and headed straight to the double front door of Crestville High. She walked to her locker and put her bag in it. A pair of hands blocked her line of vision.
"Guess who?" A deep rusty voice said behind her.
Cleo flicked her tongue out and licked the hand. "Mmm...tasted like my favorite red head." Cliff's hands left her eyes and turned her around and cupped her cheeks.
"Correct." He pecked her cheek. "Let's go get some breakfast at the café."
Cleo nodded her head as Cliff intertwined their hands and led them to the café.
They ate their bagel's with cream cheese while Cleo washed it down with a Frappuccino and Cliff with S. Pellegrino sparkling water.
"We have 5 minutes before class starts." Cleo sighed.
Cliff smiled and grabbed her hand from the table and put it on his thigh.
Cleo blushed. "When are we going to go on a first official date?"
"I thought this concluded as one."
"Yeah...you're probably right." Cleo's eyes fell upon the transparent window. Cliff cupped her chin with his index finger and thumb and pulled back her attention towards him.
"How about we go out tonight? I'll take you to one of the fanciest restaurants and we'll talk, eat dinner, talk some more, eat dessert, and talk all night about anything and everything." Cleo's frown slowly turned upside down. Cliff rubbed her cheek soothingly. "So...how bout it?"
"Did you really even have to ask?" Cleo combed her fingers through her hair with her free hand and pecked Cliff's cheek as the bell rang. They got up and walked to their classes with their fingers intertwined.

Violet was running late for school. She finally got out of her house 30 minutes after school had started. She had woken up late. Violet grabbed her car keys and hit the door until she saw flashes and heard various people speaking at the same time. Violet opened the door slightly and slowly and saw a flooded amount of people outside of "The Field's" house. They're all talking about Sammy, apparently because that's all she hears from everyone's mouth. Violet calls Skylar and tells him and he's on his way. Violet runs over to "The Field's" house but she can't see past the crowd.
Skylar finally arrives and finds Violet. Violet grabs Skylar's hand and leads them through the back of the house. She remembers Sammy showing her a secret door at the back of her house. She remembers the key is hidden in one of the plant pots, so she picks through the dirt and finds the gold copper covered key. She inserts the key into the lock and twists it, opening the door.
Violet opens the door and Skylar and her enter, locking the door behind them.
"What're all those people doing here outside Sammy's house?" Skylar walks towards the dining room, passing the kitchen and Violet follows.
