Chapter 6:

(3rd Person's POV)

Lynol got home from school to see Skylar dressed in basketball shorts and a white tee, grabbing a bottle of water.

"Where are you going?" Lynol locked the door behind him and threw his bag into his room.

"I'm going down to the gym to workout."

"Huh...who's there?" He grabbed an apple and took a huge bite.

"Lauren."

"Hmm...that's interesting. You gonna try and blow some steam off or are you gonna fuck her..." A small smirk crept upon his lips as he grabbed the remote and sat on the couch.. "Or better yet both?" He turned on the tv and set it on the sports channel.

"I'm gonna work out...and I'm gonna watch out for her. I don't need anyone else in my life to go missing. I know you don't care-but I do." Skylar slammed the door behind him and locked it from the outside.

Lynol shook his head and took another bite of his apple.

Skylar decided to take the stairs instead of the elevator that didn't look like it was in the best shape. He didn't want to take the risk. He opened the transparent door and spotted Lauren on the stationary bike working her quadriceps. The gym wasn't packed but there was enough people there. Lauren hadn't noticed Skylar staring at her yet so he went to the nearest machine to her, which happened to be the AB Crunch Machine. As Lauren was pedaling at a nice paste, Skylar was lifting his legs as he repetitively crunched his lower torso simultaneously. He entered his earphones into his ears to block out everything and everyone around him. After about the 60th one, he started letting out small groans. Lauren eventually looked up from the bike and turned her attention towards him. A small smile appeared on her lips. After 45 minutes on that bike, she decided to get off and let someone else get on it. She made her way towards Skylar and called his name. He hadn't noticed she was calling him till his eyes sensed a dark shade in front of him. His eyes opened, abruptly, to big doe eyes staring down at him. A drop of sweat was falling down her chest and Skylar vigorously watched each part of her body it fell upon as it slowly caressed down her body; his eyes never leaft that small drop of sweat until an awkward cough brought him back to his senses.

"Um...sorry. You just had-" He slapped himself mentally. "Nothing."

Lauren stared at him dumbfounded before a loud laugh erupted from her. Skylar looked up, confused and shocked. Lauren just nodded her head while trying to contain her laughter.

"It's just been a long time since I caught you checking me out." She bit her lip.

"It wasn't intentionally." He stared at the ground, clenching his teeth.

"I know." She wiped the sweat of her forehead with one of the towels provided by the gym.

"Can we not...ever talk about what just happened?" Skylar stared up at her briefly before returning his attention to the clean floor.

Lauren nodded her head slowly, while chewing on her lip hard. "Whatever makes you happy." Skylar went back to working out on AB Crunch Machine and since the stationary bike was occupied, she decided to go on the treadmill. Instead of starting on a low or rational paste, she decided to start on 10.
