Chapter 20:

(3rd Person POV)

Sammy woke up from the horrendous noises coming from Lynol's room. She grabbed her phone from the floor and the time read 10PM. She got up from the couch, and acknowledged her headache as she put her palm on her forehead.

She looked at her phone again and noticed her phone has been blown up with text messages and missed phone calls. It was from an unknown number. Right when she was about to read the messages, there was a knock on the door. She walked over to the door.

"Thank God you're hom-" She was astonished by the last person she expected to see at her front door. "Christophe?" She inhaled deeply.

"Sammy. I have missed you...so much." He smiled widely.

She swallowed deeply. "I can't say I feel the same way."

"What're you talking about? You love me as I love you."

"No. I used to love you, when I was young, dumb, and confused."

He came inside and shut the door behind him. He heard the noises and ignored them.

"Listen Ma belle déesse, I love you so much. I've been longing to see you again. You don't know how many times I've fathomed this day. Faith has brought us back to each other, for real this time."

"What're you talking about?" She walked backwards, falling into the couch.

Christophe followed her and sat adjacent to her on the couch. He looked at her stomach, and slowly put his hand on it.

"We made these 2 beautiful childr-"

Sammy stood up. "We? As in you and me? No Christophe...we didn't. Lynol and I did."

He gave an appalling look.

"Why're you so sure their his?"

"Because...because-"

Lynol's door opened. Lynol walked out with a girl Sammy's never seen in her life. She looked like a hooker. Lynol walked her to the front door. Before she left, she kissed him for what felt like 5 minutes. Lynol closed the door behind her and looked at Sammy and Christophe.

"I had to cut me and Tiffany's time short since you both are here because I think it's about time we all discussed some things." Lynol held a unreadable expression.

Sammy looked at the floor, not being able to look him in the eyes.

"I signed Sammy up with her doctor to do a DNA test for the babies on Saturday."

"Yes, it's truly needed. No offence to you Lynol, but I know those kids are mine." Christophe smirked.

"Why're you so sure they're yours?" Sammy asked.

"Because Le Seigneur sait Je te aime , et que je avais besoin d'une bonne raison de tout quitter en France et être avec vous ... alors il nous a donné ces deux beaux enfants. Can't you see it?"

"Um-I don't know. I'm sorry Christophe. I don't think they're yours." Sammy gave him a sincere expression.

"Why?" He yelled.

Sammy jumped.

"Because...I don't think so." Sammy combed through her hair.

"You don't think so? Why? Because you love Lynol, and you want it to be his?"

"No! No! Christophe, I just don't think they're yours...but I could be wrong. You both have a 50% chance of being their father."
