Chapter 9

(3rd Person POV)

“Surprise Sammy!” Everyone screamed.

Sammy had an appalled look on her face. She didn’t look anywhere near happy.

Donna and Andrea hug her.

She gives Brody a look of disappointment. He looks at her and sees she’s not pleased with this surprise.

Everyone goes back to what they were doing before.

“Sammy, Donna and I came up with the idea of throwing you a baby shower. You look beautiful by the way.” Andrea said.

“H-How’d you know?”

“Well…you sorta butt dialed me and I heard you having a conversation with your Dad, I think it was.” Donna said with a devious smile on her face.

“Do you guys hate me that much?” I whispered to them with a devestated expression.

“What’re you talking about Sammy? We love you.” Andrea smiled.

“No one was supposed to know.”

“Well…now everyone knows. Sorry, but enjoy the shower.” Donna smirks. "I mean it is yours." She kisses Sammy on the cheek and grabs Andrea with her to the stage of the Banquet Hall.

“Hello everyone. My name is Donna Harris.”

“And I’m Andrea Lewis.

“And we’re the hosts for Sammy’s Baby Shower.” They both said.

“Sammy is such a wonderful person. She’s our best friend. We look up to her and now she’s with child. We’re so happy for her, and we wish nothing but greatness to happen to that child. We’re so blessed to have Sammy and her unborn child in our lives.”

The people clapped.

“We would like Sammy’s family to come up and say a few words, and we’d like Sammy to come on the stage.”

Patrick and Summer were speechless while Mia was intrigued. They got out of their chairs and walked over to the stage while everyone watched them.

Sammy came to a halt by 2 men who grabbed a chair for her and made her sit on it as they carried her to the stage.

“Hello, I’m Mia Fields. I’m Sammy’s cousin. We grew up together and became so close to each other like white on rice. Sammy and I both have this in common…we don’t have any siblings, but if there was one person I could call my sister it’s Samantha Fields. She’s gorgeous, smart, and everything else I wish I could be. She’s gonna be a great mother. I love you Sammy.”
