Chapter 29:

(3rd Person's POV)

Sammy walked into the apartment. It was a mess, and there was so much noise coming from Lynol's room. Skylar rolled his eyes as he walked in. A knock came from the door. Skylar opened it.

"Hey Larissa."

She waved her hand and she covered her ears. "Hey Sky...I just wanted to know how you've been. You haven't forgot about me, Jake, Brad, Matt and V yet, have you? I mean, we've known you the longest." She gave him a quirky shove.

Sammy watched as her knuckles lingered on his skin a little more than it should've. She observed Larissa facial expression and body language. She was biting her lip as she was twirling her hair with her other hand.

"Of course I haven't forgotten about you guys. You're my best friends."

"I knew you wouldn't forget about us." She placed her palm on his bicep, while smirking. "We've all missed you so much. I really missed you." Sammy raised her eyebrow and eyed Skylar.

"Um...thanks Larissa." He scratched the back of his head. "We all should hang out this weekend."

"Yeah totally."

Skylar looked at Sammy and saw the furious look on her face. "With the others of course."

Larissa's smile slightly dropped. "Yeah...of course." She squeezed his bicep and left.

Sammy shook her head and walked towards her and Skylar's room. Skylar ran to Lynol's room and no one was there. Skylar shook his head and turned Lynol's stereo off and shut the door behind him. He ran over to his room. "Sammy, what's wrong now?"

"Nothing Skylar. If you can't tell why I'm more mad than before then it's nothing."

He threw his hands up in the air. "Wait! You're mad because Larissa talked to me?"

"No! I'm mad at the way she was talking to you and you didn't seem to realize she was flirting with you!"

"Wow! Larissa was not flirting with me Sammy. That's just the way she is. It's how she's always been."

"Say what you want Sky, but she definitely has a thing for you!"

"Had!"

Sammy gave him a shocked look. "You mean she used to like you?"

"Yeah...we both had feelings for each other."

"What happened, huh?"

"She likes to fool around and play when I was looking for something serious. We were just two different people going in 2 different paths."

"Not that different if you go to the same college."

"She's going for design. She likes to design everything she wears, uses, needs, and wants."

"She seems interesting and spontaneous...like you. Why not be with her? Why not wait till she wants to get serious if that was the only issue you guys had?"

"Sammy, are you seriously doing this right now? We never fight like this. Why start now?"

"Why not?" Sammy quirked her eyebrow upwards.
