Ella's POV:

"Sweetie! Where's my toothbrush?" Lucas hollered.
"In the bathroom!" I yelled back.
"It's not in there!" He replied.
"Look in the other bathroom!" I screamed.

Lucas was going on a surfing trip with his buddies from his old school. He tried to get me to go with him, but I told him I wasn't ready to leave the babies.

He was going to be gone for a week which would give me and Dylan time to do a DNA test.
"Found it!" Lucas said.

I heard his suit case close. He was leaving soon. I heard a knock on the door. I walked to the door and opened it. It was Lucas's surfing buddies.
"Hey guys. Lucas should be down soon. Lucas! They're here!" I said.
"Are you Lucas's wife?" A blonde headed man asked.
"No. I'm his girlfriend." I replied.
"Nice!" He said with his thumbs up.
"Thanks I guess." I croaked.

We all stood there in silence. Ten eyes just looking at me. I then heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Lucas jogged up to the men and gave them hugs and fist bumps. He handed them his suit case and surf board. He gave me a kiss on the lips.
"Later babe. Love yah." I said.
"Love you too!" I replied.

They all piled in the van and were off to the coast. I waved goodbye. I then turned around and walked back into the house. I then called Dylan. It ringed once.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Is he gone?" Dylan asked.
"Yeah. We need to get this done. I already set up an appointment while he was in the shower last night. It's in an hour at the clinic."
"Okay. I'll pick you up."
"Kay." I simply replied.

We then hung up. In a few minutes, Dylan was at my front door. I buckled in Avril and Logan and then sat in the passenger seat. I closed the door. We were on our way.

It took about fifteen minutes to get to our destination, the nearest clinic I could find. I unstrapped the seat belts from the car seats. Dylan held Logan's carseat with him in it while I held Avril's.

Dylan sat down with the children as I went to the front desk. I had been here before for my kids so I didn't need to sign out any forms. We sat back down and waited to hear my babies' names. It didn't take long.
"Avril and Logan Dodd." The doctor said.

We followed her to a room and set the babies on the bed.
"So what seems to be the problem?" The woman asked.
"We need to do a DNA test." I said.
"Say no more." She said simply.

Another doctor came back. He pricked each babies' finger. They both started crying. I went in front of them and calmed them down.
"The results should come soon. Just wait here."
"Please send my bill to him." I said pointing to Dylan.
"Will do." He said leaving the room.

I didn't need Lucas seeing this on the bill. So I would pay Dylan back when I could and would tell Lucas that I donated money to something.

1 hour later

We had been sitting in these uncomfortable chairs for an hour. My butt was starting to hurt. The babies were asleep and were gurgling.

The doctor came in with an envelope. In there held my children's father. A part of them.
"These are the results. I'll give you some time to talk and looked over them." He said walking away.

Part of me wanted my babies to have just Lucas as a father. The other half wanted Dylan to be the father.

I very slowly opened the envelope. My handed were shaking. Dylan kept his eyes on the envelope. I took out a thin sheet of paper.

I scanned the paper. After reading it, I was awestruck. My mouth gaped open.
"What is it? Tell me?" Dylan was curious.
"Logan is Lucas's and Avril is yours." I said looking at the wall.
