Ella's POV:I was huge. I was like a humongous elephant. I couldn't wait till these my two children were out of me.
I was 33 weeks pregnant. Seven more weeks to go. I waddled down the stairs while holding my back with my right hand and the other hand on the stair rail. It was hard to walk when you have something bearing down on your uterus.
I was wearing a pink and white polkadotted maternity dress. I had my new white flats on. My hair was in a ponytail. When I got to the end of the stairs, I was out of breath.
I looked around to see that everyone was already there. Gosh! I'm late to my own baby shower I thought. I waddled to the kitchen where I found Lucas.
He was in some regular bluejeans with a blue tight shirt on. It showed his abs. He's been working out ever since he found out I was pregnant. He won't be able to exercise when the babies are born.
I waddled to him and gave him a kiss on the lips. I heard awws in the background. I got some cake and some ice cream and headed to the couch.
I started digging into my ice cream and cake. It was so delicious. I was craving some ice cream. I'm so glad I have some now.
As people saw me, they would walk over to me and congratulate me. I was definitely the center of attention. I got smiles wherever I looked.
"I'm going to go get a drink." I said to whoever was listening.I tried to get up, but I couldn't. Stupid pregnancy. I'm so fat that I can't even get up. Lucas must've known of my frustration.
"I'll help you sweetie." He smiled. He got up and grabbed both my hands. He pulled me up, and it took a while for me to regain my balance. I then walked to the refrigerator.
I open the refrigerator door and grabbed me a bottle of water. I was so tired I decided to take a seat in the kitchen.
"Present time!" I heard my mom yell.
I try to get up but couldn't once again.
"In the kitchen!" My mom finished, abiding by my needs.Everyone crowded around me in the kitchen. Everyone was smiling and waiting for me to open their presents. Lucas stood right beside me holding the back of my chair.
I started with the smallest and went up to the biggest. I opened a small wrapped box. I found little footsie's in the box. They were so adorable.
One by one, I opened all the rest of the presents. I got diapers, bottles, blankets, clothes, a breast-feeding pump, and everything else you need for a baby.
The best present was the highchairs. They were handmade carved mahogany highchairs. They were beautiful.
"So what are you going to name them?" My Aunt Sherry asked.
"Well um, we are naming the boy Logan, and the girl Avril." I finished.
"What do they mean?" I heard someone say in the back.
"Logan means from the hollow. Avril means opening buds of spring." I finished.
"That's beautiful sweetie." My dad said as he put my hand on my shoulder. The only problem was the last name. Daniels or Dodd. We've been arguing for weeks about it.
Logan Zachary ______.
Avril Marie _______.
They were beautiful names. Lucas was hesitant about the name Avril, but I got him to like it. The last name was missing though.
"Dinner time! There is chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, rice, pizza, and dessert of course. Dig in!" She hollered.Lucas pulled me up and gave me a kiss on the cheek. He put his arm around my waist as we headed to the buffet.
I grabbed a blue glass plate and made my way to the food. All of a sudden I felt a cramp in my stomach. I walked it off like it was no big deal.
I put some mashed potatoes on my plate when it came again, and this time it hurt worse. I dropped my plate as it shattered to the floor. I bent down and grabbed my stomach. Lucas was holding on to my back.
"What's wrong sweetie?" Lucas asked.A liquid started running down my leg. Everyone was staring at me with worry. I looked up at Lucas and then at my mom.
"Mom. I think my water just broke!" I yelled.
