Ella's POV:Prom was in two weeks, and I could not wait. I would have someone to go with this year. He just hasn't asked me yet.
Each day I waited, but he never popped the question. I started growing sad. I walked in the door.
"Sweetie! Do you want to get a prom dress?" My mom said excitedly.I thought about it for a moment. Lucas is probably never going to ask me. It would be good bonding time with my mom though.
"Sure."We got in the car and heading to a random store with dresses in it. We parked in front of St. Clair's. It was a huge shop.
We walked in to see dresses of many kinds. There were wedding dresses, prom dresses, homecoming dresses, and many more.
"We're going to be here awhile." I joked.I tried on many different dresses from red ones to blue ones, to short ones to long ones. None of them were my match.
After more searching, I found the perfect one. It was a strapless sky blue lavender dress. It stopped a little below my knee. It was also poofy.
I tried it on. I walked out to see my mom crying.
"It's perfect!" She yelled.I looked at the price tag. I couldn't pay for this. My mom must have saw my worry.
"Don't worry. I'll pay for it." She smiled.
"No mom. I can't let you do that."
"I want to. It would make me feel good to get you something in your life."We bought the dress. God! It was gorgeous. I just wondered if I could ever wear it.
Each day my hope was going down. Every time we hung out, he would never ask.
One day I heard a knock at my door.
"I'll get it!" I yelled to whoever was in the house.I opened the door to see Lucas. He was in a tuxedo, on one knee with a rose in his hand.
"Would you, Ella, be my date to the prom tonight."
"You're lucky I have a dress." I laughed.
"Is that a yes?" He asked.
"Yes. That's a yes." I replied.Dropping the rose, he picked me up and spun me around. He gently set me down. He planted a kiss on my lips.
This is going to be the best prom ever!
