Dylan's POV:

Forever is not in my vocabulary. There is no forever. Relationships end. You break up or you die.

I'm so glad I met Ella. She was beautiful and smart. She made me laugh. Our relationship wasn't official. We were friends with benefits.

I didn't think of her as a friend. I loved her. I was going to tell her once all of this died down. Instead she died. Murdered by someone she loved.

I hadn't cried yet. I had to be strong for her parents. To be a shoulder to cry on. There is no more Ella Daniels.

3 weeks later: Court House

"Ma'am. She didn't have a will. We have to decide who these children will go to. Lucas Dodd is in Prison. Avril is Dylan Bank's. They are twins. There is a lot of things to think about here." The judge said. There was a long moment of silence and whispers.

I sit in the seat beside Lucas. He has a black eye. Cuffs are around his wrists. We give each other looks of hatred.
"I propose a plan. Ella's parents will take custody of Avril and Logan. Dylan is allowed to see them whenever he likes. Lucas may see his child when out of prison. Every who agrees say 'I'." He proposed.
"I." Almost everyone answered.
"This case is closed." The judge said. He then hit his hammer on the wood.

Lucas had a stern look. His lips squeezed tight as the guards pulled him away. I walked out behind Ella's mom, Allie, and her dad, Noah. They each hold a carseat.
"Dylan? Would you like to come to our house?" Allie asked.
"I would love too." I replied.

We sat at the kitchen table. The babies were asleep.
"Just so you guys know, I will treat Logan like he is my own. Are you going to tell them about Lucas?" I ask.
"We will. Occasionally. We will let them know that they have a father and his name is Lucas. That is all." Noah said with no emotion.
"Why'd I trust that guy? Why'd I let them go out?" Noah said again.
"Well, I thinks it's because during that time, she had no one. You drank alcohol. Allie wasn't around. So the first person to come into her life, she clinged to. When her family life got better, it was too late. She was already falling for him. The problem was that everything that falls gets broken." I stated.

He nodded in agreement. My mind set changed. That seems like a great idea. A good one. I will treat Logan like he is mine. I'll be a better father than Lucas. That is a promise.
"We will have the funeral next Saturday." Allie said. She started to cry. Noah comforted her.
"Okay." I whispered.

I walked in front of the casket. Ella laid there, one hand over the other. Her eyes were closed. She looked peaceful.

She was in a pink dress. It made her skin flourish. Her hair was in brunette waves that lay on her shoulders.

I touched her arm wishing she could wake up and give me a big hug, but she just lays there.
"Ella, I love you. I just wanted to tell you that." I said. A tear rolls down my cheek.

The sun grew brighter. It shined through the window on a rainy day. I smiled. I knew it was Ella. I blew a kiss.

I knew she heard me. I knew she loved me back. I would look at our child and see her. I already do. She will always be with me. She will be in my heart and my memories. I will always see her in everything Avril does.

I sit down and listen to the pastor.
