Chapter 6 Part 1:Witness

Sage and Reyna was sitting down on the sand looking at the waves splashing through. They were far enough to not get wet by the tide. Reyna remembered the thing she would give Sage so she stood up and got her gifts from Skye who was trying to not look suspicious making her look more suspicious. "He-" Reyna got cut off by Skye. "Oi I'm just sitting here, I'm not carrying anything... Oh hi Reyna." Skye awkwardly laughs.

"You failed that miserably, give the gifts to me." Reyna ordered her with her fingers pinching the bridge of her nose. "Got it." Skye stood up and pulled out the gifts from the bush beside her. "What the- you know what just give them to me..." The mexican lightly snatched the teddy bear and a bag from the Australian. Skye snorts laughing at her while Reyna just sighs at her. "Thanks Syke" She still thanked her. "No problem" She winked at her. Reyna rushed back to Sage hoping she wouldn't get impatient or that nothing bad happens to her again. She made no sound as she walk behind her. "Sage" She called out making the Chinese woman turn around.

Reyna was crouching at the ground hiding behind the teddy bear. She waves its arms at Sage then revealed herself to her. "I brought this for you" Reyna said with a warm smile. The sentinel couldn't help but smile sheepishly. She handed her the bear and she took it. The Mexican gets a box out of the bag and also handed it to Sage. The Chinese woman opened it revealing a shiny golden necklace with a golden sun pendant with some silver in it. "Why is it a sun?" Sage chuckled as she gets the necklace out of its box gently. "You don't like it?" The woman replied with a worried tone. "No, no, no, I like it but isn't it like Phoenix's sign or something?" She said examining the pendant with a smile. "Oh well that's because you're the light of my life." She said with her cheeks a little bit flushed from embarrassment as Sage look at her.

"You brighten my day and even if the sun is not present this current moment. It's okay because you're here with me and you're just as bright as the sun."

The embarrassment from earlier got replaced by confidence. Sage looks at her with reddening cheeks. She pursed her lips together trying to hide her smile but she couldn't help but smile even when her lips was pursed. "Sweet talker." Sage replied as she smile with a frown. "I'll put it on you." Reyna carefully gets the necklace from Sage's hand who was offering it to her. She gathers her hair and got them out of the way as she wears the necklace on Sage. She fixes back her hair and looks at her. "It looks good on you." The tattooed woman complimented her. "Well everything would look good on you." Reyna laughed at her softly.

"You keep giving me gifts.. I should give you one too" Sage said feeling bad for her. "It's okay being with you is already enough, you are my gift." Reyna said grabbing her hand and then kissed the back of her hand. Sage was serious about giving her a gift but she did not expect such an answer from Reyna making her get flustered. "I'm being serious!" She shouted while hitting her lightly with the teddy bear. "So am I" Reyna chuckled. Sage grabbed a handful of sand and threw it on her as Reyna stands up and runs away from her seeing what she was about to do. She also stood up and chased the Mexican with the bear on her other hand.

She gives up and just walked away from her heading towards back at the small amusement park. The duelist noticed and catched up behind her. "You left me" Reyna whined then laughed at her. "Yeah yeah whatever. Thanks for these anyways..." She looked at her thanking.

"Hey... Why did you offer me this whole deal anyways?"

Sage sat down in the passenger seat beside Reyna. She bit her lip, unsure if she made the right decision to ask her that. "I wasn't seriously asking or making a deal, it was just you." Reyna scoffs at her with a smile. Sage frowned in disbelief. "What the heck, then why didn't you tell me?" Sage complained while putting her seatbelt on. "Well I don't mind dating you." The tattooed woman replied while she start the engine of the car.

"Are you telling me we kind of just dated because of my misunderstanding?"

"Yes."

The woman in the passenger seat face-palms herself smiling. She had mixed feelings about the situation. She thought maybe it wasn't really a bad idea that she misunderstood the situation because of the main reason that Reyna would finally leave her alone. "I- okay... Let's go back..." Sage said as she runs her fingers to her hair, fixing them. The other woman found the small action attractive. She started driving in a normal speed where Sage wouldn't be shouting at her to slow down.

The car was silent so Reyna turned on the radio to break the silence.

The music played and the silence faded. The night drive felt more chill than before. None of them still spoke up to start a conversation. Reyna looks beside her to see the sentinel with her eyes closed shut fast asleep. She smiled at the sight of her significant other sleeping peacefully. 'She looks so beautiful even when she sleeps' She thought while looking back at the road.

She drives her way to Sage's place and when they got there she lightly tap her shoulder to wake her up. "Wake up, we're already here." She shakes her very very lightly. The healer frowned still half asleep. She looks at her with her eyes still slightly closed. Reyna laughed at the sight. She couldn't help but pinch her cheeks. Sage slaps of her hand gently then removes her seat belt. "Right... Thanks for today..." She yawns after. And just like that their day together is done.

The girl beside her left and bid goodbye with her bear on her hand. Their day was amazing except for the part where Sage got sexual harassment. Reyna hated both of the men and was glad they died since they deserved it anyways. The Mexican still didn't left and watched Sage go inside their place before she go to make sure nothing bad happened to her. A white haired Korean opened the door and pulled her close. Sage was a bit surprised but still wrapped her arms around Jett. Reyna watched with her eyes widening. Her grip on the steering wheel tightens as she watch both of them. "What-" She wanted to get out of the car and pull Sage back to her but she knew it was not a good idea. The Korean cupped the sentinels cheeks.

"Are they kissing?"

The tattooed woman frowned getting angrier the more she watch. She felt like she needed to watch them more but at the same time she just want to drive away. Her heart aches at the sight. "Just what is she doing?"
