Chapter 10 Part 2: Dangerous

"Maybe I need some time to think by myself..." Sage sighed heavily looking at Brimstone and the others discussing seriously about the spike. She didn't know what to do, she was in a complete mess. She didn't want to take Brimstone's advice but she was afraid that it was the truth. She looked at her phone, seeing 'Worst Person Alive' in her contacts made her scoff. It was silly how she thought of her as 'The Worse Person Alive' in spite of her slowly catching feelings for her. And now all she could ever think of is why did she ever enter her life and make it such a mess. "I really do hate you." Sage said in a small delicate smile.

She wanted to open up to Brimstone but maybe now is not the time to do so considering how unstable she is at the moment. It's only a few weeks away from their third month, being said a few weeks away from the two of them breaking up and finally bidding goodbye. She wasn't sure what she was feeling at her realization but she knew she should be happy about their break up. She looked at Brimstone before leaving the room with guilt in her eyes, she shouldn't have reacted so childishly.

Sage walked outside of the building and dialed her number. Her phone rung and the person that was on her mind answered it after a few times of it ringing. "Hello?" The woman on the other line wondered why did she call her. Sage sat by the stairs with the phone placed by her ear, just listening to the woman on the other line continuously saying hello in confusion. She felt stressed but unknowingly she also felt comforted by the sound of her voice. "Hello, Sage?"

Reyna was very confused on the other line, she must've accidentally called her, she thought. Just as she was about to end the call, she finally talked in a tired voice, "Hey..." she said.

"Hey... You okay?" Reyna asked, noticing her voice sounding like something bothered her. She cracked a smile at the concerned woman on the other line, she found it silly. She found it silly and unbelievable that she was actually worried about her, the same woman whom she hated the most. "Do you want me to come and get you?" She questioned. Sage couldn't help but smile, it's almost as if all her stress faded away in an instant.

"I'd like that." She replied with a warm smile, she could no longer hide the fact that she might actually be be falling for Reyna. She stood up from the stairs she was sitting at. She couldn't let others see Reyna for obvious reasons, so she had to move places for her to pick her up. "I'll be waiting at the bus stop by the dog park." Sage said while making her way to the said location.

The trees danced along with the wind and her hair flowed graciously with them. "I'll be there." Sage managed to hear from Reyna in spite of the wind howling in the background. And not too long after she ended the call, she continued walking to the bus stop with a small smile on her face. It was cold outside and the wind made it worse. It was quite chilling.

It might not be the perfect time to be all sweet and lovey-dovey after the conversation she and Jett just had a while ago, it would make her look like she completely doesn't care about Jett's feelings, but she couldn't help but smile. She felt annoyed at her stupid heart that couldn't rest itself after one call with her, the same heart that skips a beat whenever Jett is with her. There was no doubt that she still hated Reyna but this time it felt like she hated her for different reasons now. She hated the fact that she was slowly falling for the same person she hated with her whole heart.

She didn't even realize she already walked pass the bus stop with all the thoughts in her head. She looked at her back and saw the bus stop not too far away, she walked back groaning at herself. Sage then sat down, she shivered at the touch of the cold metal bench. She pulled out her phone to distract herself from the cold and looked at photos of her and Jett. She knew she needed to say what happened, no more keeping secrets from each other.

A honk from a car could be heard making Sage jump a little, being startled at the sudden loud sound. She looked at the car with it's window rolling down. "Get in, it's cold outside!" Reyna said getting out of the driver's seat and walking towards Sage, removing her jacket and clothed Sage with it before opening the door for her. Sage felt herself blushing at her actions, she sat in the passenger seat and soon was followed by Reyna sitting on the driver's seat.

"You do know that, that was completely unnecessary?" Sage chuckled at her.

"Yes, but I wanted to." Reyna replied as her hand made its way the latter's hand. Intertwining both of them while looking deeply into her eyes. Her majestic purple eyes were addictive, Sage didn't notice how beautiful her eyes were until now. And all she could ever ask herself was that, 'has it always been this addicting?'. Reyna pulled her hand and kissed the back of it, every single detail about her seemed so much more lovable. "Are you okay?" Reyna asked with her eyebrows raised in concern.

Sage sighed before replying, "No... Jett found out about us." she said as she removes her hand that was intertwined with hers. She was worried about how will Reyna's reaction would be.

"How did she know?" Reyna asked, she was sure Sage wouldn't want to tell anybody about it. She started driving to where she was going to take Sage to. Sage explained and told everything to her, from the start to the end. Reyna was upset about Brimstone wanting them to break up, she just wasn't ready. But even worse she couldn't believe Omen did that to her. She couldn't think of any posible motives why Omen did that to her, she felt betrayed. She wouldn't deny the fact that she's getting hurt with Sage and Jett's relationship, she didn't like that Sage have feelings for Jett. But what can she do? They fell in love first.

Sage sighed at the whole situation, it was stressful, she couldn't decide what she would do next. But she knew she have to stop herself from falling in love any deeper with Reyna. "Can I ask you a question?" Sage really wanted to know something, she really want to know if Reyna really does like her or is it all just a game to her. Reyna hummed in response, keeping her eyes on the road. "Do you actually like me?" She asked with her cheeks slightly flushed from embarrassment.

"Of course I do, I want you to be mine and I want me to be yours."

Reyna looked at her after parking the car in the parking lot. Sage didn't even notice where they were going, she was really focused on telling her everything. Sage felt butterflies swarming in her stomach as she look in her eyes. Her heart strings strummed like a guitar playing a sweet melody. "Since when?" She asked her with a soft, gentle voice.

"I don't know but I just suddenly found you in my heart, and with that realization I'm ready to change myself just for you." Reyna answered in the most sincere way, she told what her heart was screaming to say. It was like she grew upon her over the time. She knew she was in love with her when she started to accept that she was going soft. She had never felt something like this with anyone else except Sage. She was ready to be a better person for her.

Reyna smiled warmly at her before leaning in towards her. Sage slowly closed her eyes feeling her heart beat faster than it was before. What Reyna answered to her questions made it even more impossible to stop herself from falling in love deeper with Reyna. A pair of lip can be felt by her cheek, they were soft and smooth. Sage slowly opened her eyes in confusion. Reyna was just a few space away from her, she really thought she was going to kiss her in the lips. "What's with the look?" Reyna chuckled at her.

Sage rolled her eyes in response before grabbing Reyna by her shirt and pulling her into a kiss on the lips. Although it didn't last long, it made both of their hearts flutter. Reyna stared at her blankly after, not expecting the kiss from her. For Sage however it only proves that she really is developing feelings for her, the sound of her heart beat couldn't lie. "I don't want to fall in love with you but you make it so hard not to." Sage said before letting go of her shirt and crossing both of her arms. She knew she's already in a dangerous situation, a dangerous situation of her completely falling in love with Reyna.
