Chapter 3 Part 3:Three Months

"Too bad you'll only be good for three months"

Silence.

Reyna didn't bother to reply. Maybe it was her guts telling her to keep her mouth shut but she didn't want to be reminded that after three months they would never talk again. That after three months they'll just forget and never talk about this memory ever again. That's probably the main reason why she would want to do everything she can.

Because this relationship is a lie?

Because this relationship is not healthy?

Or is it because this relationship is not permanent?

She tightened her grip at the steering wheel.

However we cannot predict what may happen in the future. The only thing we can do is live in the present, not in the past, not in the future. Reyna seemed to be living in the present whenever she's with Sage but Sage is mostly looking into the future. Impatiently waiting for the day the empress leaves her alone.

They have already reached Sages place, luckily there was no traffic so they got back earlier than anticipated. Sage removes her seatbelt and was ready to go out of the car when Reyna called out her name. "Yes?" she replied. The mexican loosened herself and then also removing her seatbelt. She sighs lightly.

"Can you say 'I love you' one last time before you go?"

The healer was still quite hesitant about it. "N-No, I'm going now" Sage stuttered as she reach for the handle. Reyna looks at her with a smirk. The car was still locked. She finds Sages actions adorable. "You think I'd let you go so easily?" The mexican chuckled. Sage looks at her with visible exasperation. "I love you! There I said it, let me go now" The chinese girl said trying to open the door again. "Say it again but genuinely"

How can I say it genuinely if I don't really love her?...

Sage thought fully facing Reyna while thinking of a way to make it sound real.

The mexican leaned towards her. Closing as much gap till there is none, their lips touch. The atmosphere in the car was not so sweet, but Sage cannot put the right words to describe it. Sage was a bit startled when the girl started moving her lips. She had come to realize that it wasn't just a peck on the lips. She went with the flow and kissed her back. Her hand slowly loosen its grip on the handle with Reynas tongue asking for an entrance to her mouth. The healer grasped the mexicans clothes lightly as she grants access to her tongue. Neither two of them stopped for a while till Sage finally pushed Reyna lightly.

"W-What the fuck?" The asian huffs trying to catch her breath. "Wrong answer" Reyna intertwined their hands together with a mischievous smile. She leaned over to her neck sucking on it while the other girl holds back making faint noises. Reyna grinned caressing Sages jaw making her look at her in the eyes.

"Now what do you say?"
"I love you..."

Sage replies with a shaky breath. With the girl satisfied with the reaction, she unlocks the door. "I love you too~" She replied as she fix her clothes on her seat. Sage felt a jittery feeling that was lingering in her heart.

'What the heck was that feeling just now? '

Sage thought feeling her heart pound. Her cheeks burned up slightly by the actions she was just doing a while ago. "W-Whatever, you're a really bad girlfriend" Sage hissed as she gets out of the car with the bouquet. Reyna grinned at her as she watches her leaving. "Feisty~ I like it" The driver said to herself watching her enter the place from a far. She starts the engine and drove back to her place.

Sage goes inside the place exhaling with her brows raised up. It was quite late so the people were most likely in their beds sleeping or still in the infirmary getting some rest. Except for one, Jett. Jett was in the kitchen with her head down resting on the table. The korean seemed to have fallen into a cat-nap. Sage gently wakes the sleeping girl up. "Lets go up, you've fallen asleep here in the kitchen." The healer said gently nudging her.

The korean girl wakes up and almost stood up immediately still a bit sleepy and tired. The korean girl grabbed her hand and pulls her along with her to her room. " What are you doing? " Sage questioned the girl who's still holding her hand. The korean girl wobbly sat down on her soft stuffy bed. Sage was just standing there confused.

'alright first Reyna in the car was too much and now Jett is being weird'

She thought also wanting to rest. She pushes Jett down the bed making her flop. "Sleep, I will leave no-" Sage said tucking the korean into her bed with the blanket. Jett held her hand again for the second time but this time tighter. "No~ stay here" Jett pats the space beside her. The girl sheepishly smiled in response. "Okay but let me change" Sage continued.

She went to her room and changed as she said. She looked at her mirror checking if there's any marks on her neck, luckily there's none or at least it very very faint. She had her pj's on and brushed her teeth before joining Jett in her room.

She looks at Jett who is resting peacefully and gently joins her in bed tucking herself under the blanket as well. "Happy? Okay goodnight" Sage quietly say facing Jett. Jett opens her eyes and immediately meets eyes with Sage. Jett scoots closer to Sages chest then hugging her with her arm and leg. "You're like a koala" Sage giggled at her hugging her back. "당신은 항상 따뜻한 포옹을 제공합니다" (you always give a warm hug) The healer had no idea what it meant but she removed the blanket because it was getting a bit too warm.

'she smells different today, this doesn't smell like her'

Jett thought confused on her mind but brushed it away since the only thing that matters for her at the current moment is this. Her and Sage cuddling just like this. It's like she wanted to capture this moment. The korean yawned and slowly falls into deep sleep while Sage stays awake thinking about the events that happened to her this day.

'Okay Jett seems to be kind of weird today and yesterday.. But I dont mind it'

She soon falls asleep too just like that.
