Third POV

"Caden? Caden?" Nora shook the limp body in front of her, both confused and concerned on why her husband is in such a state.

Nora sighed, not really surprised because this isn't the first time she's found Caden either collapsed on the floor by the front door, or dead asleep on the couch. Every time she does there's always one thing in common.

Both times he has he burning smell of alcohol on him.

When Nora and Caden met, he never mentioned anything about a drinking problem. God, he's never even accepted an alcoholic drink ever when he was with Nora.

Everything about it always seemed strange, sketchy even. But, being Nora, she couldn't bring herself to ask Caden what he's been up to, not wanting him to confirm her suspicions.

"Come on buddy, we sleep on the bed, not the floor-r." She struggled as she tried to keep her balance as well as pull Caden up so that she could lead him to the bedroom.

His feet dragged along the glossy finish of the wood floor, arms dangling and one around Nora's shoulders. His head bobbled up and down, looking like it was hard for him to keep consciousness.

They finally made it to the bedroom, so Nora basically chucked Caden onto the bed. He bounced slightly, coming to a stop.

The grey eyed girl took a small moment to catch her breath before proceeding to remove Caden's jacket and shoes. He happens to wear the same one every time he goes out, same goes for the shoes.

After that was done, she took the jacket to the washing machine, hating the odor emitting off of it. It almost smelled like a combination of liquor and a strong fragrance, but one that she could not make out.

She opened the door to the machine, throwing in the jacket without much thought, not even bothering to check the pockets before doing so.

She strolled right back to her and Caden's room, hearing light and soft snores coming from her husband.

Usually she'd find such sounds adorable, but today was different. She feels fed up now, the feeling of suspicion starting to creep up on her.

Maybe that's why she found herself leaving the doorway without looking back, grabbing her car keys and heading out of their apartment building.

She didn't really know where she wanted to go, and where would even be open. I mean it's one am for crying out loud. But, she couldn't take it there anymore, and felt like she needed a break.

"Maybe I can go to Kristen's." Nora mumbled, dialing Kristen's number into her phone hastily.

It took a few rings before Kristen finally picked up, light shuffling being heard from her side.

"What in the living hell Nora? Why are you calling so late?" Kristen grumbled into the phone, sounding like she was tossing and turning.

Nora mentally rolled her eyes. "It's not late, you usually stay up until four am so don't call me out here."

"Whatever." She muttered, changing the topic. "What do you want, need, wish for?"

Nora played with the stray hair from her high ponytail, looking out the car window. "Can I crash at your place tonight?"

Kristen rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Why?" She yawned.

Nora shrugged. "Just need a break, plus I need to talk to you about some things."
