Four heads arguing about what to do
Then Myna looked up and said, 'Ahem.'
The others looked and grins spread wide
'I'll be doggone,' said 3Gun, 'It's them.'
CM was half dragging CG by her sleeve
When she heard the sheriff, she ran to escape.

In his arms, she stayed while they kissed
Not everyone was surprised by their embrace.
"Caroline!" yelled the stranger
"We're ... this is a public place
Let's go inside ... the hotel or the saloon."
He said with embarrassment on his face.

CM looking smug, CG looking sheepish
The stranger stood close by her side
There was a happy reunion, relief all around
Then 3Gun looked at CG, 'Got somethin' to hide?'
She flushed and said, 'Sheriff 3Gun, meet Gabe Green.'
The two men shook hands cautiously
'Gabe and his family are old friends from way back.'
They both nodded knowingly and chorused, 'I see.'

'Are you here to see Sheriff Wise?' Gabe asked the Sheriff.
'I met him when I first got to town.'
'He's not a good man, he works for William Land.'
'Not anymore,' 3Gun said with a frown.
"Land was killed back in Tent City. We had a big disagreement.'
'And these two young ladies took care of Ewell.'
There was more joshing and teasing among the good friends
'Then Gabe said, 'Sheriff, that Wise is no fool.'

'He ain't that bright either,' Brody spoke up
'He's bin followin' us all around town.'
'I noticed,' said Myna with a slight jerk of her head.
'He's in front of the saloon with some men, sittin' down.'
'Caroline has to speak with the mayor
and we were going to have dinner.' Gabe said.
'But I want you to come along" CG cut in
'There's something you might have to consider.
'Well, I don't think Bella should travel just yet, so . . .'

'So, you want to stay for the night.' 3Gun smiled.
'Okay so after our meeting tonight,
tomorrow CG, we can all saddle up and go.'
