But that lawyer fellow
Gabe What's his name
Stuck to her like
A fly on strawberry Jam."
Deputy Dell spat out.
The three men sat huddled
At the jail, shaking heads
And trying to figure out
Their next move.
Tim had brought the news
That Land had not returned
On the day as was planned.

The Mayor had made a trip to County
Then that infamous Sheriff 3gun
Showed up in Carson City.
They all agreed
The town wasn't big enough
For all of them.
"Tim you take care of the deputies
Find out what they know of Land
Fill 'em up with bullets
And burn the place down.
Take a few of my men
If you must."

Tim gave him a gap-toothed smile
"Now we're getting someplace
What are you intending to do?
About the Mayor."
"I've got an invitation
So has Deputy Dell"
Wise smirked at them,
"Don't you know?
We're to join a dinner party
that's where we're going
To bury the Mayor
Along with his newfound friends."
