i'm so sorry

I woke up the next day, and got ready quickly. We needed to be at the field early for the last task. I put on a hoodie, leggings, and old white converse. I wanted to be comfortable if I'm going to be sitting in a damp, cold, crowd for hours.

I went outside, and found a seat next to Blaise, I was on his left, with Theodore on his right. They mostly talked to each other, but it's okay. The champions walked out, and I ran down quickly to say good luck to Cedric. I strode over to him and stood in front of him.

"Hey, just came to say good luck." I said. "Thanks, I'm glad you're here, you're like my good luck charm." He winked. "So, big maze huh?" "Yeah, it's huge. I'm kind of worried." "Don't stress, you got this. You're smart." I laughed, he giggled and then hugged me.

"Thank you for supporting me throughout this Y/n, I can't thank you enough." I looked up into his eyes, "Of course. Anytime." We pulled apart, and heard screams coming from the crowd. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but they were yelling hysterically.

Then I realized the vines closed, and I was inside the maze. My heart began to beat rapidly, and palms started to sweat. "Hey hey hey, stay calm, I'm here, you'll be fine." I nodded and took a deep breath. He grabbed my hand, and we walked through the maze. It was dark and wet. We took twists and turns, it felt like an infinite amount of muddy paths.

We walked for what seemed like hours, before running into Harry. His eyes opened wide once he saw me, "Got stuck." I said, and he slowly nodded. He helped us make it to the end, I didn't really pay attention to where we went. I turned left when Harry did, right when Harry did, went straight when Harry did, you get the idea. We heard distant screaming which made me jump, I didn't know who's scream it was but I'm guessing it was Fleur's.

Cedric draped an arm around me, "Don't worry, we're okay." "Mhm." Was all I could get out. We walked for a little longer, my legs were growing weaker and weaker. From afar, we could see a glowing beam of light, "That's it! C'mon let's go!" Harry said cheerfully. The three of us ran hardly towards the golden stray of light. Cedric smiled in awe, he did it. Harry's smile quickly faded, and he pushed me and Cedric down behind a boulder.

We could hear him screaming spells I've never heard of, he was struggling. Cedric ran out and began to help him, but I sat there hopelessly. I didn't learn these things! I was silently praying in my head, I didn't even know who or what they were fighting. Suddenly, the boulder I was behind flew out of my sight, leaving me out in the open. I didn't know what to do, I stood there in shock and worry.

"Aha! At last, Y/n Mikaelson. The one who's too strong for this world. It's time for you to go bye bye." Winked and waved sarcastically. I look over to the two boys but they seem to be stuck against the vines, screaming helplessly. The wizard in front of me, who I didn't know of, lifted his wand. I didn't have my wand on me, I didn't think I'd need it if I were just sitting and watching!

"Goodbye." He said before screaming another spell, which struck me right in the chest. I collapsed to the ground, and it was all over.

After all these years, of being immortal, 'so powerful', and strong, I'm gone. I'm dead. It was sort of peaceful, I was just not there anymore. It's a strange thing to die, one second you're present and the next you aren't.

I woke up in Mystic Falls, but not in the real world, my new one that I'll spend eternity in. I was walking down the street, and I went to my home. Home sweet home.
