Chapter 13 - Naruto

"Oh my GOD!!! How do I KEEP forgetting these stuff!?!?" I screamed to myself as I poked the notice board. "No. School. Shimiko, no school."

I sighed and was about to turn back home when I heard a call behind me. "Miko-chan!!!"

"Sakura-nee!!!!" I grinned.

"What are you doing here, Miko-chan?" She asked.

"O-Oh, I forgot there's no school today," I giggled nervously, scratching the back of my head.

She laughed. "Wanna have lunch together?"

"Yeah, sure," I smiled.

"W-Wait, Sakura-chaaaan!!!!!"

Sakura grumbled. "Here he comes again..."

My eyes sparkled. 'LE GASP!!! IT'S THE PROTAGONIST!!!!'

"Sakura-chan!" Naruto panted. "D-Do you want to eat lunch together?"

"No!" Sakura huffed. "I'm having lunch with cute lil Miko-chan here!"

I blushed.

"Oh? Who's that?" Naruto squinted at me.

"U-Um," I shifted uncomfortably.

"Naruto-baka! Stop staring at her, you're making her uncomfortable!" Sakura huffed. "Now come on, Miko-chan. I have an hour's break, what do you want to eat?"

"Um, actually, Sakura-nee, you're having a four hours break," I giggled.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Sakura asked.

"Nothing," I smiled. "Let's go."

"Oi oi, Sakura-chaan!!!!"

"FINE, FINE, YOU CAN COME ALONG!!! BUT YOU'RE NOT SITTING NEXT TO MIKO-CHAN!!!"

"How is it, hm?" Teuchi smiled at me.

"Ish good," I grinned at him with ramen in my mouth, blushing as I realized it was rude to speak with food in my mouth.

I then turned to Naruto and sweatdropped as I saw him shouting with his mouth full of ramen.

"Naruto! Stop speaking with food in your mouth, it's gross," Sakura faked a shudder.

"Ah, sorry Sakura-chan," Naruto smiled apologetically.

"I'm done with mine, I'm heading back to the academy now, Miko-chan," Sakura smiled. "You can go home."

"I-I'll walk you to the academy!" I grinned.

"Sure!" Sakura ruffled my hair.

Ayame cooed.

"Wait up, Sakura-chan!"

"No! You're way too slow!"

"Man, what do I do now..." I sighed as I lay on the sofa.

'I'm glad that Kakashi has got a team, no, I'm glad that Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi have become a team...I'm glad nothing changed because of me,' I sighed. 'But Asuma....'

I clenched my fists. 'Just the thought of him dying....We've only met once, but still...'

I sighed and shook my head. 'No...that's in the future....I don't need to worry now. And...I musn't change anything.'

'I can't.'

Gripping my hair in frustration, I slapped myself and stood up straight. 'I'm going for a fucking walk.'
