It was so fucking awkward.
So I just stared at the weapons on the wall.
"My dad's out so, I might need to go if a customer comes," Tenten smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry about that!"
"N-No, I'm the one who should apologise! I-I was...s-s-s-s-stalk-king y-y-you..." I stuttered.
'I should start a conversation...' I thought.
'No. Stay quiet,' Riyuko ordered.
"So, um, the weapons on the wall are amazing...did your father make them?" I asked.
Riyuko, again, slapped me over the head.
"Oh, no!" Tenten laughed lightly. "I made them!"
"Y-You made them?" My eyes widened. "Wow...that's amazing, Tenten-senpai!"
"Yeah, I hang all the ones I made on this wall of this room," Tenten sweatdropped. "It's not a lot...ha...ha."
"That's a lot, Tenten-senpai! And I think they're amazing!" I beamed.
"Really?" Tenten lit up.
"Yeah, the design and everything, you know," I grinned.
"Thank you!" She squeaked with a small blush. "But, but there are a few that aren't so good..."
She took a few from the wall and sat in front of me. "This kunai is the first one I made..." she pressed on the blade. "See, it's too blunt and hard to cut through. Also, there's a few bumps here and there, and the shape's weird, even though I made it with my dad's help."
"At least it still looks like a kunai, I doubt I can even make something," I laughed.
"And this, the whole handle is just, bleh," Tenten faked a shudder.
I giggled. "But I think it's nice, it's like a special design or something."
"Now that you say that...the curve does kinda look like a special design..." Tenten muttered.
"Yeah, if it's rounder it'll be perfect," I grinned.
"I see..." Tenten nodded. "I guess I'll make a new version of this with a curved handle, huh?"
"Yeah, that'd be great!" I grinned. "Can I see you make it?"
"Sure, but I don't know when I can...I've been kind of busy ever since I became a genin. Today is my day off," Tenten said.
"What's your team like? They must be amazing like you!" I grinned at her, giggling mentally.
"One's fine, but the other two are..." She shuddered. "But the other one's quite cocky and arrogant too, sometimes I hate him and sometimes I admire him. My sensei and other teammate are weird and LOUD, but...they're still my comrades, and I love them," she smiled.
"Is your sensei perhaps...Gai sensei?" I asked.
"Yeah, that's him," Tenten sat up. "How did you know?"
"I've met him once," I smiled. "And yeah, it's just like you said...he's loud but a nice person."
"How'd you know him?" Tenten asked, curious.
"My brother is his rival," I laughed lightly. "He often comes to visit and challenge my brother at whatever."
"That means...your brother is Kakashi Hatake?" Tenten exclaimed. "You guys look so different!"
"I know, I was adopted," I smiled.
"Oh...I'm sorry," Tenten frowned.
There was silence.
"Anyways, eh- Wait, Shimiko-chan, are you-"
"I-It's okay!" I grinned, wiping my tears away. "So?"
"Hm...should we introduce ourselves? A small game like, asking stuff about each other?" Tenten suggested.
"Sure!" I agreed.
"So, things you like, including food and hobbies," Tenten began.
"Hm....I like drawing, writing, reading eggplants, and maybe weapons too....to me, they're art....They're quite fascinating to me," I said.
"Ah...okay. I like making and collecting weapons, and fortune telling is fun too. I love Sesame dumplings, they're so delicious," she smiled. "Your turn."
"Uh...your dream!" I said.
"Ah, that, I want to be a strong kunoichi and someday open my own weapons shop or continue my father's!" Tenten answered."What about you?"
"Mine...I don't really have a dream...." I sweatdropped. "U-Uhm, Tenten-senpai."
"Yeah?"
"I was hoping u-m....i-if you'd teach me how to handle weapons...? Maybe I can h-help in your father's shop too..." I requested shyly.
"Me...? Teach...you...?" She blinked. "Sure, b-but I'm not sure if I'm a good teacher..."
"It's okay, Tenten-senpai, I just wish to learn from someone whom I admire and has the same interests as me!" I grinned.
"Well then...I guess it's okay!" Tenten smiled."
"R-Really!?" My eyes shone. "Thank you!!!"
"You should get home now, I think we talked for too long."
"Yeah..."
"Oh, and stop calling me senpai, I'm okay with it but I'd prefer you to call me Tenten."
"But senpai sounds nice on you."
"Really...?"
"Yeah!"
'Okay then..."
"Bye, Tenten-senpai!!"
"Bye!!!"
