Slipping my bag over my shoulder, I rubbed my eyes groggily and stared at the clock.
6:30 am....Kakashi should be up by now.
I deadpanned at air before walking up to his room and burst through the door with a glare, making him jump.
"Oh. So you were awake. I thougt I'd have to wake you up on the first day of your team mission," I crossed my arms.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be going now..." he smiled.
I frowned as I noticed his other hand hiding behind him and glanced at the spot where his old team's photo frame was. It wasn't there.
"Take your time..." Sighing, I closed the door and stood outside staring at the floor.
I want to comfort him but I don't know how....
Tears stained my eyes at the thought of how Kakashi has been suffering alone all this while.
Rubbing them quickly away, I walked down the stairs.
I want to make myself useful.
'You idiot.'
My soul floated out of my mouth as I put a book away.
'You know that's cringey, right? Trying to make yourself look like an amazing protagonist and thinking you can read all these books,' Riyuko said.
'Shut....up....' I muttered. 'But I...really want to help Kakashi-nii....'
'Then at least do something better instead of reading books with information that can't even help you at all,' Riyuko deadpanned.
'You mean....' I sat up.
'You should go, you idiot.'
(Just fyi, Riyuko is me thinking to myself uwu)
Knock knock!
I peeped through the window with a small sigh. 'There's no one...?'
"Hello there, how can I help you?"
I jumped and quickly spun around to see a man walking in my direction. "O-Oh! I'm here to look for Tenten senpai"
"Tenten? She's training in the back," the man said, "I'm her father, you can call me Sadao-san. Come, I'll open the door for you."
"H-Hai! Thank you!"
"I-I'm so sorry to interrupt your training, Tenten senpai, um," I stammered.
"You're still calling me senpai, huh..." Tenten sweatdropped.
"I-It's okay, I can stop calling you that if you want, is Tenten-san okay?" I asked.
"Just Tenten," Tenten said. "So, what is it?"
"C-Can you...um....." I muttered, two index fingers pressed together. "Um!"
"There's no need to feel so nervous around me," Tenten sweatdropped.
"I was wondering...if you could start, um....." I mumbled quietly.
"Training you?" Tenten asked.
"Y-Yeah! I mean, you can choose not to if you don't want to, I don't mind, I know I'm interrupting your-"
"OF COURSE!!!" Tenten's eyes sparkled. "LET'S GO NOW!!!!"
'Eh? It was so easy?'
"So you know how to handle a kunai and shuriken, right? Wait, that's a stupid question," Tenten sweatdropped.
"Yeah, I kinda do, Kakashi-nii trained me a bit before I started academy," I said.
"That's quite early for someone to start weilding a kunai....but well I guess I started training around that age too," Tenten laughed lightly.
"No, I started academy when I was 10," I said.
"Oh....okay," Tenten nodded. "Show me how you hold you kunai. Just use you hand, no fighting stance."
Nodding, I held a kunai and pointed it at a tree.
"Okay, that's correct," Tenten nodded. "There's another way to hold it but that'll have to wait till you're better. Now, shuriken. With fighting stance."
Bending down my body, I aimed the shuriken at the target.
"Okay, that fighting stance is...kinda out of position," Tenten said. "Also, with your hand twiated in that way, you won't be able to throw the shuriken straight......"
