In the week after what had happened Riley was finding it hard to come to terms with what she had gone through it had taken a toll on her mentally and physically she lost all her motivation to do anything and she had no desire to eat anymore everyone was concerned about Riley's sudden change in behaviour Everyone had tried to get her to talk to them but she wouldn't say a word about what had happened to her at the party Riley spent her days locked in her room laying in bed hidden under her covers she had shut everyone out completely and all everyone could do was worry about her she wouldn't talk to anyone not even Nate
It was winter break which meant Riley and Nate didn't have to go to school For two weeks and as much as Cal and Marsha didn't want to leave Riley at home they had to go to work in the day so they made sure Nate or Aaron stayed home to keep an eye on her
Nate was at home with Riley and all he wanted was for her to talk to him but he knew it wouldn't be that easy
Nate walked upstairs and headed towards Riley's bedroom he knocked on the door lightly
"Riley I've got you some food" Nate said
There was no response
"Riley come on open the door" Nate begged
Riley could hear the desperation in Nates voice and although she didn't want to interact with anyone she knew she no longer wanted Nate to worry about her
Riley got up and to Nates surprise she opened the door
She stood there and looked up at him with emptiness in her eyes Nate could see how fragile she had become her clothes were more baggy on than usual and her skin didn't really have any colour to it she looked lifeless
She turned away from him and went back over to her bad she sat down
Nate came into her room holding a plate of food in his hands He sat down next to her and placed the food on her desk
Riley caught a glimpse of the food she turned up face up in disgust she had no intention of eating anything
"I made you your favourite"Nate said softly
"I'm not hungry" Riley said quietly
Nate looked at her with a worried look on his face
"Come on Ri you need to eat" Nate said concernedly
"I said Im not fucking hungry!" Riley shouted at Nate frustratedly
Nate looked taken back he hated seeing Riley like this
"Riley it's okay if you don't want to eat you don't have to" Nate said calmly
Riley didn't respond instead she laid down and turned to face the wall
Nate remained sitting up on the bed he moved closer towards her and started to stroke the back of her neck
Riley didn't flinch at his touch instead it seemed to calm her down Nate started to play with her hair he knew Riley loved it when he did that
Riley turned over to face Nate she looked up at him with her brown eyes glistening slightly
"Can you stay with me Nate?" Riley asked
Hearing Riley ask Nate that was music to his ears all he wanted was to be close to her
"Course I will" Nate said as he laid down next to Riley
The pair didn't say anything else to each other they didn't need to it was blissfully silent Nate gazed into Riley's eyes he couldn't help but admire how beautiful she was
Nate leaned in and crashed his lips onto Riley's reluctantly she didn't pull back instead she deepened their kiss
Nate started to kiss down her neck in that moment everything was fine Riley felt content under Nates touch
Nate stood up and took his clothes of leaving him in just his pants Riley sat up and did the same Nate stared at her body in awe just for a second until he noticed how frail her body looked her collar bones appeared to be more prominent than usual
He adverted his gaze away from her body and looked into her eyes
He got back into the bed and gently climbed on top of Riley he pulled down his pants and placed his dick inside of her Nate started to thrust up against her slowly he didn't want to be too rough in case he hurt her especially with how delicate she currently looked
Nate placed his lips onto Riley's and began kissing her again he continued to thrust against her they didn't break their kiss
Riley started to have these immense flashbacks from what had happened to instead of seeing Nate on top of her all she could see was him panic set in as she pushed Nate of her abruptly
He got of the bed and pulled quickly pulled his pants up he looked at her confused yet conceded
"Riley what's wrong?" he asked worriedly
Riley ignored Nate as she sat up on her bed and avoided eye contact with him
Nate sat next to her and placed his hand in her back lightly
She instantly flinched at his touch she looked at him with fear in her eyes
"Get away from me!" She shouted as she jumped of the bed she moved away from Nate as he remained sitting down
Nate stood up and walked towards her slowly he was confused as to why she was acting like this he wanted to know the reason behind her sudden change in behaviour
"Riley I'm not going to hurt you I just need you to tell me what's wrong" Nate said desperately
Riley was in a state of panic and distress she couldn't think of anything else but him the way he violated her and used her body for his own personal needs disregarding how much the aftermath of it would affect Riley how it would stick with her for the rest of her life
"I was raped at the party I went to after the formal" Riley cried as she looked into Nates eyes
Nate felt his heart break as he heard those words come out of Riley's mouth he felt like someone had stabbed him a million times in his chest
He walked over towards Riley and pulled her into his arms He held onto her as tight as he could
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you Ri I'll never let anyone hurt you ever again okay I love you so much" Nate said softly as he let a tear fall down his face
In that moment Riley felt safe in Nates arms she latched on to him like her life depended on it she had no intention of letting him go
"I love you Nate" Riley said as she looked up at him he placed a kiss on her forehead
Nate and Riley both knew no matter what happens they would always have each other although Nate had hurt her in the past Riley had no doubt in her mind that Nate did truly love her he wasn't perfect but neither was she and they didn't need to be what mattered more than anything was them having each other and that's all they'll ever need
