The winter Formal was coming up and Riley had no intention of going but she knew Cassie and the girls would make her go regardless of her not wanting to Riley knew she no choice in the matter
Riley had no doubt in her mind that Nate would bring a date especially now him and Maddy were done Riley couldn't help but feel jealous at the thought of Nate all over another girl at the formal
Things between Riley and Nate had been weird since their moment the other night they both so clearly wanted each other but they knew it wouldn't work they both wanted what they couldn't have and it was starting to get messy
It was the night of Nates football game and Riley really wasn't in the mood for it unfortunately for her she was a cheerleader not only that Cal and Marsha would of been pissed if she had bailed which meant she didn't really have a choice
Riley was getting ready in the locker room with Maddy things between them since the Halloween party hadn't been too bad Riley did apologise for speaking to her the way she did Maddy was understanding she took into consideration what she was going through at that moment in time so there were no hard feelings Riley did still feel a bit awkward around her though due to her on going situation with Nate
"So Ri have you got a date for the formal?" Maddy asked
Riley looked over at her as she got her trainers out of her locker
"Nope" Riley said as went over to maddy and sat beside her
"Oh yes you do" Maddy said as she grinned at her
Riley looked at her confused
"No I don't mads" Riley said as she put her trainers on
"Me and the girls are your dates you idiot" maddy said playfully
"Oh of course who needs boys anyway" Riley said as she turned to smile at maddy
"Too right actually speaking of boys Nate is going to formal with Natalie I mean come on Natalie of all people she's so fucking annoying" maddy spat
Riley's heart sunk a little at the mention of Nate going to the formal with Natalie she didn't want him to go with her but it's not like she could tell him what to do they weren't together
"I mean you aren't wrong that girl is a walking headache" Riley stated
Maddy laughed at Rileys comment about Natalie
The girls made their way out onto the football field the boys came running out shortly everyone immediately began cheering for them
