It was the night of the winter formal and Riley's head was all over the place she couldn't think about anything but Nate a part of her did wish she could just forget about him but it wasn't that simple
Riley was finishing of getting ready for the formal but she was running a bit late she had texted the girls to let them know that she would be there soon
"Riley if you hurry up you can get a ride with Nate and Natalie" Cal Shouted from downstairs
Riley rolled her eyes at the thought of being stuck in a car having to watch Natalie drooling over Nate she couldn't think of anything worse
"It's fine I'm just going to get an Uber" Riley shouted back down
Nate didn't like the fact that Riley was going to the formal alone if he had it his way she would be getting in that car with him wether she liked it or not
Riley was finished getting ready she walked downstairs to find cal and Marsha talking amongst themselves She had assumed Nate and Natalie had already left
"Oh Riley you look so beautiful" Marsha said happily as Riley stood beside her and cal
Riley smiled at her softly
"You do look lovely sweetheart I just want you to be safe tonight please that's all I ask" Cal said
"Don't worry I always am" Riley reassured him
Cal smiled at her response
"Right my ubers outside I better get going I'll text you both when I get there" Riley said as she walked towards the door
"Okay hunny have fun" Marsha said
She turned to smile at them both before going outside she walked over to her Uber and go in it
Riley arrived at the formal she entered the school hall she felt her nerves kick in
She could feel everyone immediately turn to look at her mostly gaining lustful looks from the boys and envious looks from the girls
