Riley hadn't been in a state like this in quite a while Nate had hurt her badly and she was coping with it the only way she knew how Riley never imagined that Nate would be the one to make her relapse it's crazy how the person that can make you the happiest can also make you the saddest.
Everyone that Riley had come to the party with had gone home which meant she was by herself Nate and Maddy were still at the Party he was keeping a close eye on her he didn't want to leave her on her own especially with the state she had got herself in he wouldn't forgive himself if anything bad happened to her.
Riley was outside the front of the house smoking a cigarette she was completely out of it
Nate came outside to check on her she was sitting on the curb at the side of the road
He walked towards her
"Riley I think it's best if we got you home" Nate said as he sat down next to her
Nate was the last person Riley wanted to see
She turned to look at him
"I'm not going anywhere with you" she said bluntly as she threw her cigarette on the floor
"Riley come o-
"Don't you fucking dare act like your care about me" Riley cut him of
Nate looked at her sympathetically
"I do care about you Riley"
"No you don't because If you did you wouldn't have hurt me the way you have you've messed with my feelings my emotions I fucking opened up to you I let you in and look where that's got me do you understand now why I push people away because this is exactly what happens I get fucking hurt!" Riley shouted angrily as she stood up and walked of away from Nate
Nate followed after her
"Riley I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you I do care about you a lot you know how much you mean to me things just got complicated Maddy she's all I've ever known I couldn't just walk away from her" Nate said
Riley turned around to look at Nate she looked at him with sadness in her eyes
"But what about me Nate" Riley said as her voice broke slightly
"Riley pleas-
"No you fucking listen you made me believe you actually had feelings for me that you gave a shit about when in reality it was all bullshit you just wanted a new toy to play with I never meant shit to you" Riley spat viciously
"That's not true Riley it wasn't bullshit i cared for you I had feelings for you i still do for god sake it just wasn't an ideal situation I mean who were we kidding everyone would judge us they would all think it was wrong I've come to realise that but that doesn't mean I won't care about you anymore or be around because I always will" Nate reassured her
