Riley and Nate left mckays house at around 7am in the morning Nate drove himself and Riley home both of them feeling drained from the events that took place at the party including Nates incident with jules that happened just before the incident with Riley which she had no idea about it.
The car ride home was silent although Nate had gotten through to Riley a little bit there was still a lot of progress to make untill he could get her to fully open up and get Riley to let Nate help her.
"Thankyou again for last night" Riley said breaking the silence
"You don't need to thank me Riley I'll always be there for you whenever you need me" he said as he smiled at her
She gave him one in return they both arrived back home they entered the house both trying to be as quiet as they could so they didn't wake up cal and marsha.
Riley walked up the stairs first as Nate followed behind her
"Goodnight Nate" Riley said as she walked towards her room
"Goodnight Ri" Nate said as he stood there with a soft smile
She smiled back at him he watched her as she entered her room she shut the door leaving him alone in the corridor he couldn't help but think about how much he really did care for her and the lengths he would go to so that she would be safe.
Riley laid on her bed as she looked up at the ceiling she felt numb Riley had become so broken that all she wanted to do was fill the void and put an end to this feeling of emptiness but it never went away no matter how many drugs she took or how many times she had sex she could never seem to escape the pain.
She knew that what she was doing to herself wasn't the answer and deep down she knew she should probably listen to Nate and stop her reckless ways and get help but she just couldn't she couldn't be the girl who didn't touch drugs who didn't sleep around who wasn't a mess that wasn't her Riley Jacobs had no intentions of changing even if it meant hurting those around her she was a addict and she didn't care not even a little bit not even at all.
It was the morning of a new school year Riley had spent all of yesterday sleeping and isolating herself in her room she was recovering from what she did and what had happened at mckays party she just wanted to be alone luckily for Riley no one actually saw Nate beat up that boy and actually knew about what had happened apart from Cassie and Mckay who she trusted not to say anything the last thing she wanted was this getting out and everyone talking about it asking questions and constantly seeing if she was okay she didn't want that everyone at mckays party just saw some Beaten up boy get thrown out and assumed he had to much to drink got into a fight and got thrown out by the host of the party.
Riley got up and got dressed for her first day back at school she wasn't feeling the best which was normal for her but no one had to know that.
Nate was giving Riley a ride to school she either went with him or Maddy.
