The trio made their way upstairs to Yoli's bedroom.

"Well?" Valo asked, hands in their pockets as they walked.

"Well, what?" Kate asked back.

Valo smirked. "Was it interesting?" Kate rose a brow at that.

Yoli sighed at her lovers, her arm wrapped around kata as she spoke. "Dinner. She's asking about dinner. Was it as interesting as you thought it would be, Kate?"

"Oh, it was quite entertaining, if that's what you mean." He said.

Valo chuckled. "Ha, it was, wasn't it. Well, we rarely have such... Interesting guests like Hunters and Werewolves and Vampires who aren't part of the Coven."

Kate shrugged. "Well, of course not. Tonight's events were as unexpected as any. Especially since I was already here days in advance and incidentally so, my friends had been rushed here with a dire issue."

Valo hummed. "True. A lot went on today... So much." They said, trailing off.

The others noticed and turned to look at the shorter Witch. "What is it?" They asked in unison.

Valo stopped walking, and the pair also did. "I... Umm, Kate, Yoli. You both know how new this is for me—our relationship, I mean. Earlier tonight, Kate's and my first kiss triggered something locked deep inside of me, and—it—it wasn't his fault!" They snapped, waving their hands, "it was mine. My trauma from... the past." They stopped speaking for a second. "I never felt safe with men. Not even when Ban and I moved into the manor years ago, it took so much time to get accustomed to being around other men... and intimately, they made my stomach twist into knots, and I could no longer look towards them for pleasure. I... I don't know what you are, Kate. But the way I felt with you—around you," they looked up, meeting those shocking blue eyes, "it was the first time I ever let a man get that close to me, in that manner." Valo stated. "So, please, don't make me regret opening up to you like this."

They stayed quiet for a moment more.

Kate pondered on Valo's words and nodded. He reached out a hand to them. "I promise to be the absolute best man to you, Valowa. I'm sorry for what happened to you in the past. I will do my best not to let any harm ever come to you again."

Valo blinked away at tears forming in their eye and smiled at him. They took his hand, and Kate pulled them into his side, his warmth calming them.

"I promise to do my utmost best with both of you." Kate declared.

A soft smile met Yoli's lips. "I never would have thought that I'd have two partners. Ha, my mother would be glad." Her eyes widened, "oh, I'm terribly sorry to leave at such a beautiful moment, but it's nearly after twelve." She tiptoed to kiss Kate's cheek, cupping his face, then leaned over and pressed a peck to Valo's lips.

She shuffled off, and Kate rose a brow.

Valo chuckled. "Her plants needed tending. Some bloom at night, so she had to go."

"Ahh... Should we join her?" Kate asked.

Valo glanced up at him, then squeezed his hand. "Of course."

Yoli's eyes followed Kate as he kicked off his boots. Valo had gone to their room to change into their nightwear then come back to join them. "Can I ask you a question?" She asked, releasing the vine from her venomous plant that she was pruning.
