Vidaldus was on his way over to Adam's house after Kalson had gone out to run a few errands before work. He had done his daily remedies, and orders for his customers and had tidied around the house before departing. He had prepared a basket of goods and other random essentials that Adam may need and secured them before he headed out. Vidaldus was never the kind of man to visit someone unannounced with his hands free, his mother had taught him to be a good guest along with being a good host. He sighed happily at the remembrance of his lovely mother, her soft green eyes still imprinted on his memory, the same green gaze that had showered him with such warmth and adoration through his youth and much of his early adulthood. Audre, her lovely name fit her nicely, her kind nature and strong stand for her family was what made him into the man that he was today. For her, he would live a life she would smile upon.
One day, and 17 hours earlier...
Adam had lost sleep, having stayed awake for the majority of the night, his body groggy and stiff from his lack of rest. He had been worried that something might have happened to Lexander, or that he'd return in the dead of night, but alas, he had seen not a sight of the Vampire, only of his young ward who had arrived home well after the sub had gone down with the list of items that he had written down for him and a new exhaustion that made him look older. "So, he left?" he hacked setting down the bag and removing the items only to pack them away. "What happened after I left?" Leeland inquired. The hunter groaned, cracking his neck and back as he stood from the couch. He was beside himself in guilt, not having a proper answer for the pup. He racked his brain for something close to the truth and finally turned to face him. "He went to feed... he said that he was requiring more blood to heal after the attack." It had been a lie, but it was enough of the truth to not alert the pup and make him jump to conclusions to where another argument may surge up and cause further distress. "Get some rest Leeland, I'll do the same." Adam stalked off towards his room and shut the door, having little to no energy to do anymore than sulk as he laid in bed, he could not even entertain the young wolf about his whereabouts today and why he smelt of Marissa's sweets. His tired brown eyes rimmed with heavy dark circles were plastered to the window which he had left open a crack, just incase Lexander was on his way back and needed to get inside, but that moment would never come and the hunter forcefully succumbed to an exhaustion that dragged him to sleep.
Present time
Vidaldus rounded the bend that lead to Adam's house when he inhaled deeply and his eyes flickered silver. He smelt the scent of a young Werewolf, making him hesitate in his stride before he kept walking forward once he had determined that the wolf was not a threat to him, at least he hoped that he was not, he very much rather not get into any fights, especially not when he was still upset over Kate's knowledge of the Witches. He arrived at the house and made it up the stairs where the mixture of a faded familiar scent and the wolf's stench mixed in with the hunters own. He hissed and rapped his knuckles to the door, waiting for Adam or the wolf to open the door.
The heard movement, slow and careful, a long yawn and the scratching of hair. He blinked slowly, his face neutral as the door pulled back and Vidaldus came face to face with the shorter stature of a Werewolf. "Leeland, right?" the wolf growled baring his canine in warning. He rose a hand. "Don't bother, I come as a friend to Adam. My name is Vidaldus, please excuse my me, I have foresight and very strong connection to the mind. May I come in? I promised Kalson and Kate that I would drop by Adam to make sure of his well-being." Leeland's dark eyes looked him up and down and he scoffed.
"You smell off."
Vidaldus rose an eyebrow at his keen nose. "Very astute of you. I'm a special breed, but that is not important right now. Adam is and since you are in good health, I'd like to ensure that Adam is also." He stepped forward but Leeland pulled the door closer to him as he stepped out. "Uh uh, you're not telling me your true purpose here, talk now witch." Vidaldus smiled at the wolf. "Quite astute. I'm here to see Adam and his Vampire lover, but I was not warned of a clever young Werewolf as yourself. I hope you don't see me as a threat, I am quite a neutral party in this supernatural world. I am only here to make a house call and I suppose you know that too. I smell of herbs and nature, is that how you knew I was a Witch?"
