Wicker and Lexander’s simple healing spell worked, but Kalson was still unconscious, and that was about all they could do. Plus letting him get some sleep. Adam and Leeland sat patiently waiting to hear what they had figured was wrong with him, and Vidaldus who was more than worried paced the room, while nibbling on his thumb. He had gotten out of his dirty clothing and had a plain black blouse on as he refused to sit and or take his eyes off of his lover.

Wicker hissed. “Can’t you stop fucking pacing. Freaking out won’t make him conscious! You worrying will do nothing but make you sick and I have little energy to waste on you after earlier today, and tonight, so cut it out.”

Vidaldus huffed. “That transformation took a lot of strength didn’t it?” he asked. She crossed her face, her mismatched eyes glaring his way, but she nodded stiffly.

“Good, it was your own fault for how you stupidly detached yourself from me.” She growled, her pupils glowing an ominous haze.

“Wait,” Leeland started, “how did she, umm, detach from you?”

Vidaldus shrugged. “A small magical act between familiar and Witch, Wizard etc.” He said rolling his wrist about. “The familiar can willing attach itself onto the flesh of its master or Witch, or any being that who commands it, of course.”

"Oh, so... what is she?"

Wicker whipped around. The oversized blouse of Adam moving with her as she sized up Leeland. "Don't act as if I'm not here. I can speak for my damn self." Leeland cringed and pressed back into his seat. "Wicker." Vidaldus growled in a stern command.

She sucked her teeth and looked down at the boy. "I'm a ghoul. Normally, we don't take on a human appearance but in this case I manifested one, and my powers... they were a gift of my first master, she had an unfortunate death and left me with her powers which were quite formidable. It made me more powerful than any other ghoul." She looked towards Kalson, brushing a hand over his forehead where he had began to sweat slightly. She used the damp washcloth to cool down his face. "I never thought that I'd need to wield her powers, but here we are." She sighed and sat on the floor before Kalson. "I warned you Vida. You didn't listen."

Vidaldus bit his finger, hating that he couldn't turn back time and change the outcome of this... save himself from hurting the one man that he loved. "I should have listened. I regret it now."

She snickered, making his eyes focus on her. "I never took you for the one to regret anything, even when you're wrong. Such a scolded young master you are." He grinded his teeth at her words.

"Oh shut up." He growled his eyes going black making Wicker follow his movements with a new caution as he kept pacing, now but at a slower pace.

Lexander stood. "Okay, so... what now?" Lexander asked. "Are we all still going to rescue Kate, or is the original idea of me and you going to to the Coven still on the table after these unfortunate turn of events?" Everyone looked towards Vidaldus as he was now in silence. He kept on nibbling at his finger as he paced back and forth, back and forth, his eyes blacker than coal. Adam's hand motioning something caught Lexander' attention and he moved over to him. "May we speak outside?" He asked. Lexander nodded and quietly left the room behind Adam.

Adam had been fully dressed this time, so there was no need for Lexander to worry over his health. "Lex, what the hell?"

He sighed, and rubbed at his temples. "This whole dilemma is utterly bizarre and I haven't a clue what will happen next, at least I don't think so."

"Huh? You don't think so? What do you mean?"

He shrugged. "I just—I'm unsure."

Adam arched a brow, tilting his head towards the Vampire. "Lexander, Vidaldus and you were discussing something when the topic of Kate came about, what did he mean when you referred to an energy burst or whatever?" Lexander swore underneath his breath, the hunter had a strong mind even when the Vampire tired to dismantle it every now and again.

He lowered his gaze, eyes darkening softly. "Hehe, you listened a little closer than I thought you did, clever hunter." He said wrapping his arms around Adam's neck before he could see him move. Adam jerked but Lexander only smiled. "Stop doing that?"

He chuckled. "But why would I? Have you forgotten that you're entangled with a Vampire dear hunter... we tend to be quite fast on our toes." Adam rolled his eyes, as he looked off into the forest. Lexander leaned in and enjoyed as Adam's faces slowly turned red before his eyes. "My, my aren't you sensitive Adam.. I wonder why." He grazed his teeth along the curve of Adam's ear making him yelp and push against his chest, but the Vampire did not budge reminding Adam of just how strong he really was, like a brick wall unable to be pushed back or kicked down. He swore as a shiver ran through him as Lexander licked at his throat, making his jaw clench. "Fuck, Lex this is not why I called you outside!" He moaned when Lexander found an erogenous spot on his neck, "Ahh... Lex." His complaints trailed off as Lexander began to suck at the skin there, Adam grabbed his arm as his body grew hotter in the cold nights air. "Stop distracting the main issue here!" He screamed, shoving his hands in the Vampires' face, cutting him off and making him stutter and back away.

"Uhh?" Lexander lifted his head, eyes now taking in the sexually frustrated man. "Urgh, what's with you? I thought you said you trusted me."

"I do, but not when you're trying to divert my attention away at something important. It's almost as if you don't want me to—wait, you don't want me to question what you and your brother are discussing, do you?"

Lexander hissed, pissed that he had figured him out. "Oh dammit!" He ran a hand back through his thick curls and composed himself. "You want to know what the hell we meant? Well, then fine! The other day there was a surge of powerful energy that came from the Holton Forest and it seemed to be connected to Kate in some way. Happy now? Oh, oh, and just incase you don't trust me enough, Vidaldus may know more than I do, because he knows these Witches. There you go, that is all I know. Better?" He folded his arms over his chest, tapping his foot on the ground wishing that his return home wouldn't have turned into a supernaturally huge mess.

Adam covered his mouth to hide his amusement. Lexander looked like a child that was just forced to admit his wrongs. "A—are you laughing?" Lexander gasped. "I can't believe you. You're laughing me for what reasons hunter?"

Adam wiped away a tear as his laughter subsided. "I'm laughing because you really didn't have to get this angry over such a simple question." Lexander's cheeks deepening with a blush.

"Oh shut up. I'm not angry. Let's just go back inside." He groaned, threading God fingers into the from of his hair. "I didn't expect tonight to turn out so... horribly. I'm over it all at this point." Adam's brows frowned and he stepped closer to Lex, touching his arm that was crossed over his chest. "Lex... I haven't had a normal day of my life in so long, and you entering my world made it all the more wilder. Even then, I'm just happy to have you back. So please, don't frown. It hurts to see you so sad. So please smile because you're with me again." Lexander lifted his head up and met Adam's eyes, his smile pleasant and every inch of him radiated happiness.

"My dear hunter, I think you're in love with me."
