That night I was sitting on the couch with Ricky. We were watching the news. And sure enough there was a segment on me. This town was really consumed in this incident. It's a little weird, because Miles wasn't the first person to ever get murdered. But, let them do what they want to do.

"Today we have classmates, friends and former teachers to talk about the 'Miles Incident'."

That is the weirdest title I've ever heard. The whole thing was so new, it just surprised me. It will go down in history as the Miles Incident.

"Is that seriously what they're calling it?"

"Guess so, be quiet."

"Here we have Elizabeth Star to talk about her classmates Miles and Anastasia Jolie."

"Oh brother..."

On the tv Elizabeth looked at the camera with the cheesiest smile I've ever seen. And of all people to interview, why the person that hates me most in the world?

"Hi, how are you today Elizabeth?"

"I'm not very good, you know because of my classmate. It's a very tragic incident, and I was very close to him."

"I'm so sorry to hear this. You say you were close with him?"

"Yes, but no one was as close as Anastasia Jolie. They were best friends, having been since kindergarten."

"Many people have told me about how close they were. Do you have any idea why she would do such a thing to her friend?"

"Well, I'm not quite sure. But, the day where he died they had a fight. It wasn't pretty."

"Oh, did they?"

"Yes, something about their romance. I was there to see it. She got very angry and stayed away from him the rest of the rink."

"Ah, so you know that she would have had a reason to do such a bad thing."

"Yes, she had the reasons to. And ways to. She has definite anger issues. Yells a lot that girl."

"So, you were friends with her best friend, but not with her."

"Yes, we haven't been friends, well, since never. We just never hit it off. She's not that easy to get along with."

"And do you know anything about her family life? Life at home?"

"Well, she tries to keep this quiet. But, she lives with her step-dad and little sister."

"Oh, do you know why?"

"Her father went to jail when she was six. Then she lived with her mom. Then three years ago her mom died a little after her sister was born. I don't really know how all of this affected her."

"God, how does she know about all that?"

Ricky shrugged. How does she know about my personal life?

"Wow, so sad for her. Do you know what her father went to jail for?"

"Robbery. He was a very violent man. Met him a few times. Didn't enjoy it."

"My dad isn't violent!" I yelled at the screen.

Ricky didn't even look away from the screen, until he replied to my outburst with literally no emotion.

"I'm sure he isn't."

"Thank you so much Elizabeth. It was a great interview we had with you."

"You're welcome."

"There you have it, Anastasia's violent upbringing could have caused this violent murder."

"Turn this crap off."

"Ok..."

He turned the tv off. I was so angry. I just wanted to yell.

"I'm going to my room."

"K."

I went to my room and just put my head in my pillow. I couldn't yell, not yet.

"Um... what are you doing?"

I guess I looked pretty weird with my head in a pillow mimicking yelling. I hadn't noticed that Joey had come in.

"Nothing, just letting my feelings out."

"You weren't making any noise."

"No, but I was in my head."

"That doesn't make sense."

"Life doesn't make sense."

"That's true."

"Great, we agree on that."

"Yeah."

"Daddy says it's time for school."

"What?"

I guess I'd done more than fake scream into my pillow. I'd fallen asleep too. I must have looked really weird.

"Get up!"

"Alright."

I was out the door in the blink of an eye. I don't really know what was going on with me. I was either really energetic or tired. And then I would just faint at the most random times. It didn't really occur to me how weird this was at the time.
