I sat down on the bench right outside of the big hospital doors. There I took out my phone and texted a number that I hadn't used in a long time.

'hey'

There the message sat for minutes after minutes. I knew he wouldn't answer. It would be insane if he did.

'hey, back'

Wait, did he just reply?

'what r u doing with ur phone?'

'Didn't your mom tell you?'

'no'

'i got out'

'how long ago?'

'six months'

He's been out for six months? How come I didn't know? Nobody told me.

'what have u been doing?'

'just trying to get by'

'where r u?'

'not 2 far'

'how do u even know where i am?'

'doubt of the fact that you moved'

'great way. u have no clue what happened'

'maybe not. but i want to'

'no u dont'

'i do. say, why dont i come by sometime?'

'dont think that'd work'

'why?'

'u wouldnt believe me'

'sure i would'

'nobody does'

'im coming right now'

'what?'

'yup, just got on a train. i'll be there in 3 hours'

'ok ill be at the house'

'great'

I couldn't believe it. My dad was out of jail. And I was probably going to end up in jail.

The hospital doors opened. Everyone walked out. Cameron's dad was walking fast with Cameron next to him. They quickly walked to his car, all I could think was traitor. How could Cameron be related to that man? He's terrible.

"Alright, AJ. How are you? Get some air?"

"Yeah, I'm great."

"Good. Then let's go back to our house. There you can get your stuff, and we'll drop you off at home."

We drove in silence. I didn't know what to say, if there was anything to. I felt like I should tell Naia, but then again. Why couldn't I just do it?

I had told Cameron, and he had known. It's so obvious now. He helped his dad frame me. He was only friends with me to help his dad get information. I couldn't believe this.

As soon as I got back home I headed straight to my room. I was so excited, my dad was coming. Ricky came to check on me.

"Hey, how was the sleepover?"

"Great, fine. Listen I have something I need to tell you."

"Oh...yeah?"

"Ok. My dad got out of jail like six months ago, and he's coming to see me today."

"Really?"

He looked very confused and shocked. I didn't know how he would take my dad coming to see me. They never met, and my mom being gone might not help the situation.
