"Wow, he's really asleep."
We stood in front of the couch, looking down at Cameron. He had moved to take up the whole couch and was super passed out.
"I know."
We began to eat our crepes.
"Wow, this is really good."
"I know. My mom is awesome."
"She really is. My mom never made anything like this."
"Oh..."
"It's nothing. I didn't mean to make this awkward."
"I know."
"Wait, are you sure Cameron's still breathing?"
"Yeah, I checked before we went downstairs. Why?"
"Because he doesn't look ok."
"Check his heartbeat, I'm sure he's fine."
I put my hand to his heart. It was beating really slow. Like way too slow.
"Hey, I don't think he's ok. It's like everyone's walking after the 2 mile sprint in there."
"Really?"
"Yeah, go get your mom."
"Ok."
"Oh Cameron, please be ok."
