anthropophobia — A person with social anxiety feels uncontrollable fear that they'll be judged or rejected by other people. They'll often end up avoiding social situations altogether, when they can.

"And what would make you think that I didn't like you back?" Draco replied, taking another sip of the butter beer, his heart was beating fast in his chest, the realization set in that this conversation he's been wanting to speak to you about had finally been brought up, and it was by you. "I just never would think you would go for me." You admitted, and a low chuckle released from the boy, as his eyes never left your own.

"well darling, I hate to break this to you, I like you too." draco got up from his side of the booth, and found himself on the same chair as you, you were scooted all the way by the wall, "may I?" Draco asked as his face was inches from yours, and "you may." you had a smile that was way too big plastered on your face.

within seconds, draco's lips were on yours, his hand cupped underneath your chin, and your lips moved graciously in synchronization with his own, breathtaking beyond words, you've kissed draco before, but it was never a kiss like this, Draco was the first to pull away, resting his forehead against your own. "Are you sure you want to get involved with me?" He whispered lowly that only the two of you can hear. "Is there a contract, I need to sign?"

"no, but requirements are to be made." Draco sighed, "things need to be quiet between the both of us for now, there's something I need to finish before we can announce we are together." draco's fingers lightly grazed against your skin. "that's not a problem." You reassured him, placing your own hand on top of his. "If you can't handle heart like mine, don't waste your time with me." draco looked almost as if he was afraid, afraid of hurting you and him in the same process.

"I can handle anything." You smiled, that made Draco crack a smile as well, "well, then I think we were made for each other." Draco pressed his lips to your forehead, "are you going to officially ask me to be your girlfriend?" you laughed, and he shook his head. "stop don't make me cry from embarrassment, I admitted to you I liked you that was a huge milestone." draco groaned placing his face into your neck.

"so I'm just going to go with the flow that I am your girlfriend and that is the end of the story." your reply made him laugh into the crook of your neck, the vibration of the sound made you laugh with him, "yes, and I'm just going to assume I am your boyfriend." Draco pecked your lips, falling onto the waiter for the check, you offered to pay but draco didn't even spare you a option for that.

"Well, darling. Shall we go?" Draco extended out his arm, and you linked your arm with his. "Where are we going?" You questioned, "back to Hogwarts, I've got a surprise for you." Draco smiled as the both of you walked back to Hogwarts, getting closer to the castle you unlinked your arm with his. "Why would you do that?" He whined, "can't be seen together, malfoy?" You raised your eyebrow at him.

"Ah yes, what a smart girl." He scoffed, reaching the brown doors of Hogwarts, "what a pathetic excuse of a school, darling I will take you away from this one day." He sighed, leading you to the dungeons, "y/n? Can I speak to you for a moment." Fred weasley, the man who ignored your entire existence today is now asking for you to speak with him. oh Merlin.

you snapped your head to look at draco who nodded, and you walked to the side with Fred, "I meant it, you know." Fred sighed, rubbing the right side of his arm with his left hand, "meant what?" You questioned, "my feelings, for you." Fred's eyes met yours, boring into your soul as he stared at you more longer. "Then why did you do what you did?" You sighed, "because it was all him, can't you see that? he doesn't allow anyone to admit their feelings to you." Fred groaned frustratedly.

"That's not an answer Fred, everyone is allowed to their own opinions, and draco can't change that." You rolled your eyes, "I just want to apologize to you, and I want us to go back to normal." Fred extended his hand out for a handshake, but instead you wrapped your arms around his shoulder. "I forgive you, never leave me again red head." You whispered to him. "Never." He promised, giving you one last squeeze before letting you go.

you walked back to draco who tried to pretend his eyes weren't on the both of you the whole time, "ready?" And you nodded following him the whole way through, you were now in draco's bedroom, sitting on his four poster bed, "I was going to give you this tonight, I was going to tell you I liked you first, but you beat me to it." Draco smiled, "I feel honored to know you was going to tell me you liked me draco." He rolled his eyes at you, pulling out two gift boxes, handing you over one. "On the count of three." Draco called out.

1..2..3.. you opened the white ribbon on the red box, it a was ring box. "No I'm not proposing to you." He joked, and you rolled your eyes. "Who wouldn't want to propose to me?" You scoffed, opening the ring box, and he opened his. matching rings, two gold snakes that wrap around your finger. "promise me one thing." he was staring directly at you, he placed his own ring on his finger, "that no matter what we go through in life, no matter what situation we are in, we will always wear these rings to protect one another." Draco smiled at you. "Draco, this is such a huge gift I don't think I can accept this." You stared at the ring in utter shock.

"of course you can my darling, it's yours." Draco took the ring from your box, placing it on your finger. "And I promise you, no matter the circumstances, this ring will be on my finger." You promised the man in front of you.

and things couldn't be better, things were finally falling into your favor, and hopefully you wished that nothing bad can ever come again, you were finally at peace with this.
