// short chapter I'm not feeling too well I still have covid :(
you laid awake, laying on his chest as he quietly slept away the day, but you on the other hand couldn't sleep, your drug dosage had faded away, and as happy as you are right now, but your body does not operate the way it is supposed with opioids, you managed to release yourself from his hold, and escaping the room, you sprinted to your own room, trying not to wake the sleeping pansy on the other side of the room, and grabbed the package of opioids.
and closed the bedroom door, you managed to make it in a timely matter, and started to sprint back to draco's room, you opened the door, and he stood awake on the bed, "darling?" He called out, "yes draco," you replied, "where did you go?" He nuzzled his face inside of the pillow, trying to find a comfortable position, "I forgot something at my dorm, I-" he raised his finger in the air to cut you off. "darling, no need to lie to me, I seen the way you were nervous." he patted the spot next to him, "I'm just gonna shower draco, these clothes are super uncomfortable." you lied, you needed an excuse to get to a private place. "Inside of my drawers, I have pajamas." He mumbled, closing his eyes once more, leaving your spot empty to return.
you listened to him, grabbing a pair of his pajamas and going into the bathroom, you closed and locked the door behind you. grabbing the package out of your sweatshirt pocket, you crushed the tablets onto the sink counter top, you plugged one side of your nose, inhaling the toxins into your nose, and rubbing the excess onto your teeth, you turned the water on, and you returned to your station.
Swallowing the last two opioids, and undressing yourself letting the water drip onto your body, and feeling the nervousness release from your body, 'why am I like this' you sighed to yourself, allowing your body to relax into the water, you were no longer on edge.
you made your way back to draco, carefully not to wake him up, he looked so peaceful. so careless, you slowly covered yourself with his blanket, but the minute you got into bed his arm wrapped around you, "I like sleeping by you." He whispered, pulling your body closer to his. And you liked sleeping by him too.
your mind drifted off to sleep, but you were no longer in Hogwarts, you were in your city, carelessly running around the halls, Draco wasn't there, but you heard the humming of a girl singing a tune you were familiar with.
you followed the humming, leading you closer to a bedroom you've never seen before, you twisted the knob of the door, and slowly pushing the door outwards, "my little daisy." her voice beamed through the room, and your heart ached at the sound of her voice. you instantly rushed towards the taller girl, engulfing her into your arms. "Margot?" You cried out to her, "in the flesh, my daisy." she laughed, placing a kiss to your forehead.
"you're here, it's you?" You exclaimed in shock, and she nodded. "Of course it's me, ask me something only me and you know." She rolled her eyes at you. "What day did we meet?" You questioned, "February 7th, 9:23 pm." she replied confidently. "what was the last thing you told me inside of the letter." You sighed, "until we meet again, my angel." she cupped your face in her hands. "It is me, darling."
"you look amazing Margot, like an angel." you replied, as she took your hand leading you to the pastel pink couch inside of the room. "Is this where you stay now?" You asked, "not necessarily, but I like it here." Margot replied, "it reminds me of you, everything reminds me of you." She replied, "so you've read the letters." She added on.
"I did, and it was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever experienced besides your death." you sighed out loud, "I'm sorry, I never wanted you to find me." She had a tear rolling down her face. "It was too much to bare, and I wish things were different." she pulled you into her embrace, "but you are here now!" she tried to change the conversation.
"But I can't stay margot." you replied sadly, "why can't you?" she sighed, "because I have a whole life margot, I've met someone." you replied with a smile on your face, "oh? who is she?" You shook your head. "He's a boy, and he's draco malfoy."
" my ex boyfriend?" Margot's eyes widened, and so did yours. "Ex boyfriend?" You replied, "yep, blondie with blue eyes?" she asked, and you nodded. "Well, I hope things work out for the best for you and him." She replied sadly, rubbing your thumb against your cheek.
"I have a feeling we are going to be together very soon darling." Margot hummed as she pressed her lips against your forehead, "too soon." She added on, and you sat there confused. "Why do you say?" You asked staring at the big brown doe eyes of hers, and her pink pursed lips, Margot was always beautiful, inside and out. and you suddenly felt the guilt of being with Draco knowing that Margot was his before.
"I can tell, we are soulmates darling. soulmate's don't last long without the other." She smiled, running her fingers through your hair, "are you saying that my time on this earth has come to an end?" You asked as fear set into your realization. "darling I'm not saying I'm going to kill you." She let out a chuckle, "I'm saying that in the end me and you will have our perfect love story." Margot reassured you.
and that was a load of relief that was lifted off of your chest, or maybe there was more to the story of this, maybe Margot knew something you didn't. but all you know is that when you awoke from your dream city, you were tangled in the arms of a man who cherished you.
margot's ex boyfriend.
