The Promised Neverland AU!
(Seeing as TPN is my favorite anime/manga, this seemed like something I would eventually have to write!)
Also, these are more friendship scenarios then couple scenarios.

" Come on Yuugo, just let them stay." You say and pour water into his cracked tea cup.
The water spills on the floor, leaving L to drop a cloth on the spill to dry it.
" No. They're just going to eat all of our food, and WE'RE going to die." He says and sips the empty glass.
God he was off his rocker.
You and L both roll your eyes.
" Well since YOU decided to hold one kid hostage, WE have to go and apologize on your behalf for trying to kill them." You say and walk to the door, L following closely behind.
" By the way, Lucas wouldn't approve of you denying escapees." You slam the door and walk towards the kitchen.
You open the door and see all of the children there.
You smile at them and immediately bow.
L just looks at them.
You nudged him in the leg to bow.
" We apologize on behalf of him! He really has no manners, and as you can see, he's quite mentally unstable." You hear one of them snort.
" You guys shouldn't be the ones to apologize, you didn't try to kill us!" Says a boy with blue hair and a missing tooth.
" Yeah he's scary." Another boy with blond hair and a missing tooth says.
You laugh and see an older boy with black hair and an older girl with orange hair walk up to you both.
" Hi! My names Emma and that's Ray! What should we call you guys?" She says politely.
" Oh my name is (Y/N), that's L." You say and point to your right.
" I'm guessing you are both escapees?" Ray says.
" Yes, we all came from Glory Bell. You must be the ones from Grace Field." Their eyes widened at L's response.
" H-How did you know?" A girl with green hair says.
" Me and L like to spy on the demons in our free time. When he falls asleep, we sneak out and get some fresh air." You say and chuckle.
They continue to ask questions until the kitchen door is harshly opened.
" Are you two talking sh-" L is quick to slap a hand over Yuugo's mouth.
" Language!" You say and rub your temples.
" Hey! I thought I told you brats not to eat any of my stuff!" He says and grabs an apple from the girl with green hair.
" Hey mister!" A short child with a brown bun says.
Yuugo turns around to see her holding his chipped tea cup limply.
