L X lost-child!Reader

L was currently walking around a candy shop, when he felt a slight tug on the back of his shirt. He turned a around to see a small child with (H/C) colored hair. " Yes? Can I help you?" L asked the child. He crouched down to her level, and noticed that she was scared. " I-I can't find m-my mommy." The child stutters. " You're lost?" He asked. The child nodded.
" I can help you find your mother." He slightly smiled at the child and outstretched his hand towards her. The small child took it.
" What's your name?" " (Y/N) (L/N)." L walked the child over to the cash register. " Excuse me?" He asked the male cashier. " Yes sir?" He turned to L and you. " She seems to be lost and can't find her mother. I was hoping you could announce that (Y/N) (L/N) lost her mother." The cashier looked down at you and smiled. " Of course! It just might take a while since we have three floors." The employee made the announcement and looked back at L.
" If you would like, we could keep an eye on her while you continue to shop."
L looked down at you as you frowned. I'd actually like to stay with her till her mother arrives, but in the mean time, could I purchase these?" L handed the cashier a basket full of sweets to the cashier.
" That'll be no problem sir!" As the cashier rang L up, you sat at the bench next to the registers. Once L came back, he sat next to you and asked if you were okay.
" I'm okay! Just a little worried that mommy forgot me..."
L noticed that you seemed a bit sad. He dug into his bag and brought out a packet of chocolate. " By the way, you never told me your name mister." (Y/N) looked at him, her head tilted a bit.
" My names Ryuzaki." You nodded your head at him. L then handed you a piece of chocolate. You looked at him before saying that your mother had taught you not to take candy from strangers.
L stood up and once again took your hand. He walkes you both to the cashier. " Could I get a packet of chocolate for her?" He pointed to one behind the counter. " Of course!" L payed for the chocolate and handed it to you. " There. Now you know I didn't do anything to it."
As you both sat down, you unwrapped your chocolate and took a bite out of it. L slightly laughed at your expression that was a mix of excitement and enjoyment.
As L and you are your chocolate, he heard a woman run up to the cashier. " Where's my daughter?!"
" M-Ma'am! Please calm down. What's your child's name?" The cashier looked surprised. " (Y/N)! (Y/N) (L/N)!" She shouted at the poor man.
" She's right over there with the man that found her." He pointed to the bench that you and L sat on.
L could hear the sound of heels hitting the floor fast.
"(Y/N)!" The woman yelled. You and L looked up.
" Mommy!" You yelled happily and jumped into the woman's arms. " (Y/N)! What did I tell you about running off?"
" It's okay mommy! Ryuzaki helped me!" You pointed to L.
Your mother put you down, and ran up to L. She bowed. " Thank you so much for helping my daughter. Is there anyway I could repay you?" She asked him. " There is no need. I just wanted to make sure she made it to her mother alright."
" Ryuzaki! Do you wanna have dinner with us?! Mommy wanted to thank you, so this way we can still hang out and she can repay you!" You said, tugging on his sleeve.
" I really only eat strawberry cake and sweets." L felt bad for rejecting your offer.
" Oh! I know! How about mommy makes you a GIANT strawberry cake!" You smiled at L.
" That sounds like a great idea (Y/N)!" Your mother agreed. " So, would you like to come over Ryuzaki?!" You asked excitedly.
L smiled and said yes. He made sure to text Watari about his plans too.
That night, L's stomach was filled with a lot of strawberry shortcake. He had gained yet another friend. The nicest child L had ever met, know as
(Y/N) (L/N).
