SUMMARY
This book is about Dominique Kirke who is the only grandchild of Proffesor Kirke and during the war was stuck living with her grandfather whilst her dad fought. And eventually, four children came to stay with them. Then she ended up falling head over heels for one of them as they entered a magical land in the upstairs wardrobe.
