Chapter 19~ Learning and Looking

Apparently, after I left Ms. Switch's classroom, the entire class began rambling on about the argument Chelsea and I just endured in. How I know this? Some faggot decided to fucking post the video he took of the two of us on FaceBook.

All students are usually on their phones before their classes actually start, mainly texting, or on social media. So it wasn't surprising when people started gossiping and the whole grade started talking about the video.

To say I was happy would be an understatement. I was actually pretty pissed. Even though it felt good to confront Chelsea about the situation with the rumor she stupidly spread out, we both were the center of attention throughout the rest of the day. And, probably the rest of the week, since anything that involves our beloved school slut stays around for some time.

Honestly, I hated it when I could hear people say my name, or just talk about me. I just automatically assume that it's about something bad, like now.

It was towards the end of the day, and I walked to lunch to greet my friends. While Staci, Lyra, and I were sitting at our usual table, I couldn't help but look around as people's conversations focused on that one main topic everybody seemed to love discussing today.

I caught a glimpse of the people sitting at the 'popular' table, and Hunter just happened to be staring into my brown orbs. I just looked into his blue ones for a mere second, then looking to Chelsea and watching her glare at me. Then, Sarah just tapped on her shoulder, ending our little stare down.

"You handled that situation like a pro, Reese" Lyra said to me, as she put up her hand up.

Since my arms and torso were just naturally short, I stood up, with my stomach pressing into the little circle table, high-fiving her while the three of us laughed.

"I'm getting you candy as your reward" Lyra simply said, before standing up from her seat. I placed my fork next to the salad I was currently eating, walking with Lyra and Staci to the little snack area in the large section students get food at.

I was so happy that all three of us actually got to eat at the same lunch time. Last year, none of us were in the same lunches together, so I ended up switching between sitting with Danny and then sitting with some of my other friends from the soccer team half of the time for my sophomore year.

When we got up to the snacks, I grabbed a little Reese's packet with 2 peanut butter cups in the packaging. I know right, what a coincidence.

Once we reached the registers, Lyra punched in her student ID number onto that number pad thing and hit 'enter.' As the woman surveyed the Reese's cups, an ice cream Lyra was going to immediately consume, and a water bottle, I couldn't help but look over at Staci. I managed to look in the direction her eyes were eyeing up, and saw that she was staring, pretty intensely, at the table Coby just happened to sit at.

With his cheating body pressed up against the side of Sarah Christopher's, his arm wrapped snugly around her waist.

I never really realized that Coby sat with the popular people in 11th grade, but now I couldn't help but eye up their table. Staci has admitted to us in the past that she truly thought Coby was her first love, and we haven't spoken about him since she confessed to us while in her miserable state of being. I mean, all girls cry up an emotional storm when they break up with somebody they were in a real relationship with, right?
